코로나19로 인한 예비유아교사의 원격 교육 수업경험에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 코로나19로 인한 예비유아교사가 원격 교육에서 갖는 긍정적 경험과 부정적 경험을 심층적으로 살펴보기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 대학에서 원격 교육 수업을 수강한 예비유아교사 8명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 자료 수집은 2020년 6월부터 9월까지 연구 참여자 별로 2회씩 개별 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 예비유아교사의 긍정적인 원격 교육 수업 경험은 ‘주도적인 나의 일과’와 ‘통학 시간의 절약과 금전적 여유’, ‘반복 청취의 유용성’, ‘교수자와의 개인적 소통 기회 확대’로 나타났다. 반면 부정적 경험으로는 ‘미비한 수업 환경’과 ‘변화한 교수학습방법에 적응하기 어려움’, ‘나태해지는 학업 생활로 인한 불안감’, ‘소원해진 교우생활 속 고립감’이 도출되었다. 코로나 사태로 인해 대학에서의 원격 교육이 활발히 진행되는 지금 예비유아교사의 변화한 학습 경험 및 요구사항을 심도 있게 담아내었다. 따라서 본 연구는 효과적인 원격 교육의 활용 방안을 구축하기 위한 기초자료 제공으로서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine in-depth the positive and negative experiences of early childhood preservice teachers due to COVID-19 in distance education. Eight early childhood preservice teachers who took distance education classes at college were selected as participants in this reserch. Data collection was conducted in individual in-depth interviews twice for each study participant from June to September 2020. The results of the study showed that the positive experience of distance education classes for early childhood preservice teachers were found in ‘my leading routine’, ‘saving commuting time and money’, ‘usefulness of repeated listening’, and ‘expanding opportunities for personal communication with professors’. On the other hand, negative experiences have led to the ‘poor class environment’, ‘difficulty in adapting to changed teaching and learning methods’, ‘anxiety due to lazy academic life’, and ‘a sense of isolation in the life of friends’. This study deeply captures the changing learning experiences and requirements of early childhood preservice teachers now that distance classes in colleges are actively being conducted due to the corona crisis. Therefore, this study is significant as a provision of basic data for establishing effective utilization of distance education.
