학교 청소년의 지역사회 안전에 대한 인식이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교 청소년의 범죄, 교통, 음식물 영역에 대한 지역사회 안전 인식이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 이 연구의 분석 자료는 한국 청소년 정책연구원의 ‘2017 아동․청소년 인권실태 조사 데이터’를 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성과 주요 변수의 특성을 살펴보기 위해 빈도분석과 기술통계 분석을 실시하였으며, 변수들 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 피어슨 상관분석을 실시하였다. 또한 지역사회 안전인식이 주관적 만족감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 특히 성별, 지역규모, 가족유형, 학업성적, 경제수준이 학교 청소년 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미칠 것으로 고려되어 위의 변수들을 통제한 상태에서 지역사회 안전인식이 삶의 만족도에 대해 통계적으로 유의한 설명 량을 가지는지 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 확인하였다. 분석결과 지역사회 안전인식이 학교 청소년 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 정도가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 영역별로 범죄 안전인식, 교통 안전인식, 음식물 안전인식 순으로 삶의 만족도에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 청소년의 발달적 특성을 고려하여 실질적으로 학교 청소년 삶의 만족도 향상에 기여하는 요인을 확인하고 이를 토대로 청소년 안전인식을 높이기 위한 지역사회 안전망 조성에 필요한 기초자료를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effects of school youth s awareness of community safety in the areas of crime, traffic, and food on their life satisfaction. The analysis data of this study was analyzed using the 2017 The Survey on Rights of the Children and Youths of the ‘The National Youth Policy Youth Institute’. Frequency analysis and descriptive analysis were conducted to examine the general characteristics of the study subjects and the characteristics of the major variables, and Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to identify the relationship between the variables. In addition, a multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the impact of community safety awareness on subjective satisfaction. Hierarchical analysis was used to ensure that community safety awareness had statistically significant explanatory quantities of life satisfaction under the control of the above variables, especially when gender, regional size, family type, academic performance, and economic level were considered to affect life satisfaction. The analysis showed that the degree to which community safety awareness affects school youth life satisfaction was statistically significant, and that it significantly affected life satisfaction in the order of crime safety awareness, traffic safety awareness, and food safety awareness by area. This study considers the developmental characteristics of adolescents and identifies the factors that contribute to the improvement of the life satisfaction of adolescents in school, and based on this, the basic data necessary for the creation of a community safety net to raise youth safety awareness were presented.
