국문 초록

이 연구는 중등 과학 예비교사들의 실험 설계 역량 개발을 위한 전략으로써, 메이커 교육 기반 실험 설계 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 메이커 교육에서 활용하는 오픈소스 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어를 기반으로 실험을 설계할 수 있는 실험 주제를 선정하고, 프로그램을 개발하여 29명의 예비교사들을 대상으로 적용하였다. 이 과정에서 예비교사들의 실험 설계 활동 과정 데이터를 수집하였으며, 프로그램이 예비교사들의 실험 설계 역량에 미친 영향을 분석하기 위하여 프로그램 적용 전·후 실험 설계 역량 검사도구인 DCT를 활용하여 검사를 실시하였다. 그리고 본 프로그램의 효과와 예비교사들의 전반적인 인식을 살펴보기 위하여 프로그램 적용 후 사후면담을 실시하였다. 적용 결과, 예비교사들은 실험 설계 과정에서 실험 설계 단계를 반복적으로 순환하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 실험 설계 역량 점수 변화를 분석한 결과, 전체적인 실험 설계 역량이 통계적으로 유의미하게 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 예비교사들의 사후면담을 분석한 결과, ‘메이커 교육의 가시화와 유연성이 실험 설계 과정의 순환 유도’, ‘센서의 사용이 가설설정 단계에 긍정적 영향’, ‘실험 설계 활동에 대한 자신감 형성’, ‘자신의 전공 분야 혹은 교육 현장에서의 메이커 교육 기반 실험 활동 적용 의지’가 나타났다. 이에 대한 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop a maker education-based experimental design program and explore its effects as a strategy for developing experimental design competency of secondary science pre-service teachers. Therefore, experimental subjects were selected and programs were developed to design experiments based on maker education. The developed program was applied to 29 pre-service teachers. In addition, in order to analyze the effect of the developed program on the experimental design competency of pre-service teachers, the test was conducted using DCT. And post-interviews were conducted after applying the program. As a result of applying the program, it was confirmed that the pre-service teachers repeatedly performed the steps of cycled through the experiment design process. In addition, as a result of analyzing the change in the experimental design competency, it was found that the overall experimental design competency of pre-service teachers has increased statistically. And the analysis of pre-service teachers overall perception showed that the visibility and flexibility of the maker education led to a cycle of the experimental design process , the use of sensors has a positive effect on the hypothesis setting stage , building confidence in experimental design activities and will to apply the maker s education-based experimental activities in the field of one s major or educational field . The educational implications for this were discussed.
