국문 초록

본 연구는 COVID-19에 따른 교사의 원격수업 경험을 알아보기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 2020년 3월부터 5월까지 원격수업을 경험한 중등 교사 7명을 대상으로 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들은 원격수업 정책이 학교 현장과 충분히 소통하지 않고 임시방편으로 제시됨에 따라 답답함을 느꼈다. 그러나 원격수업의 필요성에 대해 공감하고 적극적인 준비를 하였다. 둘째, 교사와 교사 간, 교사와 학부모 간 원격수업에 대한 인식 차이가 발생하였다. 셋째, 교사들은 원격수업에서 테크놀로지를 활용한 교수 설계 및 실행에 어려움을 느꼈다. 넷째, 원격수업에서 학습을 촉진하기 위한 상호작용보다는 출결 관리와 같은 단순 학습관리가 주로 이루어졌다. 다섯째, 학습자가 처한 상이한 학습환경은 효과적인 원격수업 진행을 어렵게 만들었다. 본 연구 결과는 원격수업과 혼합수업을 지원하기 위한 교수설계, 교원 연수 등에 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 아울러 포스트 코로나 시대를 대비한 교육정책 또는 미래 교육에 관한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted in order to explore the teachers’ experience of distance learning due to COVID-19. To accomplish this goal, a qualitative study was conducted with 7 secondary teachers, who had experienced distance learning from March to May of 2020. The results of the study were as follow: first, teachers felt frustrating since the distance learning policy was arbitrarily decided by the Ministry of Education without sufficiently consulting with the teachers and schools. However, they were aware of the necessity of distance learning and prepared actively. Secondly, there was a difference in perception of distance learning among teachers, and between teachers and parents. Third, teachers felt difficulty in designing and implementing the distance learning using technology. Fourth, the distance learning were comprised of mainly simple learning management such as attendance checking, rather than having interaction to promote learning. Fifth, different learning environments facing the students complicated effective conducting of distance learning. The results of this study may provide implications for designing the instruction, training teacher, etc. to support distance and blended classes. Furthermore, this study is expected to provide implications for education policies of the post-corona era or future education.
