교수자와 학습자가 인식하는 교수역량 차이 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 교수자와 학습자가 인식하는 교수역량 차이를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 S대학교 교수자 98명과 학습자 1,900명이다. 최종 수집된 자료들은 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA(Scheffé 사후검증)를 통해 분석되었다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교수자가 인식하는 교수역량은 평균 4.57점 부터 4.74점이지만, 교수자의 성별, 캠퍼스 유형, 연령, 단과대(학부) 유형에 따른 교수역량은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 학습자가 인식하는 교수역량은 평균 3.87점 부터 3.94점이며, 성별, 연령, 단과대(학부) 유형에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 발생하였다. 반면, 학년과 캠퍼스 유형에 따른 교수역량은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 교수자와 학습자가 인식하는 교수역량 차이를 분석한 결과, 학습자에 비해 교수자가 .61점 부터 .80점 까지 더 높게 평가하고 있었으며, 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 교수자 스스로의 역량 수준을 명확하게 이해할 수 있는 기회가 되고, 학습자 간 교수역량 인식 차이를 통해 부족한 역량은 강화시킴으로써 대학교육의 질적 향상을 도모하는데 기여할 수 있으리라 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore difference of teaching competency perceived by teachers and learners. The subjects of this study were 98 teachers and 1,900 learners. We performed descriptive statistic analysis, t-test and ANOVA(Scheffe’s post test) on collected data. The main results of analysis are as follows. First, the average of teaching competency perceived by teachers was 4.57 to 4.74, but the teaching competency difference by gender, type of campus, age and type of college were not statistically significant. Second, the average of teaching competency perceived by learners was 3.87 to 3.94, and the teaching competency difference by gender, age and type of college were statistically significant. But the difference by grade and type of campus were not statistically significant. Third, as a result of analyzing the difference in teaching competency perceived by teachers and learners, the teachers evaluated higher than learners from 0.61 to 0.80, and it was statistically significant difference. The results of this study provide an opportunity to clearly understand the level of teaching competency perceived by teachers and lack of teaching competency perceived by learners expect to be strengthened to improve quality of university education.
