대학생의 목표지향성이 정신병리 경향성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 세부 정신장애를 포함하는 포괄적 정신진단 평가도구를 사용하여 목표지향 정도가 정신병리 경향성에 어느 정도의 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 대학생 총 345명을 대상으로 하여, 이들에게 목표지향성 척도와 간이 정신 진단 검사를 실시하였다. 연구 대상자의 성별은 남성 168명과 여성 177명이었으며, 평균 연령은 21.08세였다. 연구 결과에 의하면, 목적지향성 점수는 모든 정신병리 하위척도와 통계적으로 유의미한 부적 상관을 보였다. 성별에 따른 정신병리 점수는 여성에서 모든 하위척도에서 높은 것으로 나타났다. 회귀분석 결과, 목표지향성은 정신병리 하위척도들에 유의미한 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 그 중에서 강박증과 우울에 대한 설명변량이 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 강박증의 증상 중 결단력의 부족, 주의집중 곤란, 원활한 수행의 곤란 등과 우울 증상 중 희망의 부재, 무력감, 자책, 허무 등과 상대적으로 큰 상관을 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 대학생들의 목표지향성을 향상시킴으로써 정신병리를 예방하고 정신건강을 긍정적인 상태로 유지할 가능성이 높으므로, 목표지향성 향상을 위한 각종의 프로그램 개입을 통해 이를 실현할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate level of goal-directiveness on psychopathological tendency using a comprehensive mental diagnosis tool including detailed mental disorders. For this purpose, a total of 345 college students were enrolled in this study. The sex of the study subjects was 168 males and 177 females. The mean age was 21.08 years. The results showed that the goal-directiveness score had a statistically significant negative correlation with all psychopathic subscales. Gender-based psychopathology scores were high on all subscales in women. As a result of regression analysis, goal-directiveness had a significant negative effect on psychopathology subscales. Among them, the explanatory variances of obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD) and depression were large, and there was a significant correlation between the lack of determination, difficulty in attention, difficulty in performing smoothly of OCD symptoms, and absence of hope, helplessness, self-reproach, and vanity of depression symptoms and goal-directiveness. These findings suggest that there is a high possibility of preventing mental pathology and maintaining mental health in a positive state by improving the goal orientation of college students. Therefore, it is necessary to realize this through various program interventions to improve the goal orientation.
