유치원 안전교육 7대 표준안의 중요도-수행도 비교분석 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis)기법을 통해 유치원 안전교육 7대 표준안에 대한 교사의 중요도와 수행도 인식을 비교 분석하여 지원이 필요한 영역을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 유치원 알리미 사이트에서 제공하는 G 광역시의 유치원 명단을 토대로 연구의 목적 및 방법에 대해 알리고 이에 동의한 기관을 대상으로 2019년 5월 15일부터 5월 30일까지 약 3주간 200부의 설문지를 직접 배부하여 총 190부를 회수하였다. 이 중 무응답이나 획일적 응답이 많은 설문지를 제외하고 총 187부의 설문지를 실제 분석에 사용하였다. 분석결과 유치원 안전교육 7대 표준안의 모든 영역 및 세부항목에서 중요도가 수행도 보다 높게 인식되었다. 생활안전(제품안전), 폭력예방 및 신변보호(가정폭력 예방 및 대처방법), 응급처치(기도폐쇄) 영역은 중요도는 높으나 수행도가 상대적으로 낮아 우선적 지원이 필요한 중점 관심영역으로 나타났다. 생활안전(시설안전), 교통안전(교통표지판 구별하기, 안전한 자전거 타기, 안전한 자전거 관리, 자동차 사고 원인 피해, 대중교통 이용안전 수칙), 폭력예방 및 신변보호(자살예방 및 대처방법), 약물 및 사이버 중독예방(마약류 폐해 및 예방, 흡연 폐해 및 예방, 음주 폐해 및 예방), 직업안전(직업안전 의식, 직업안전 문화, 산업재해의 의미와 발생) 영역은 중요도와 수행도가 모두 낮아 장기 개선이 필요한 영역으로 나타났다. 우선적 지원이 필요한 영역과 장기 개선이 필요한 영역에 대해 지속적인 관심을 갖을 수 있도록 교사의 인식 개선이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to compare and analyze the importance and performance of teachers in regard to the Seven Safety Education Standards for Kindergartens by using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and, thereby, to identify areas that require support. For the research, a survey was conducted with 187 teachers working at kindergartens in G Metropolitan City. The result showed the levels of perceived importance were higher than the levels of perceived performance in all areas and items of the Seven Safety Education Standards. Living safety (product safety), violence prevention and physical protection (domestic violence prevention and response), and first aid (airway obstruction) showed high importance but low performance, which imply these areas require immediate attention. Living safety (facility safety), traffic safety (learning signboards, riding bikes safely, managing bikes safely, car accident causes, public transportation rules), violence prevention and physical protection (suicide prevention and response), drug and Internet addiction prevention (drug damages and addiction prevention, alcohol damages and addiction prevention), and occupational safety (occupational safety awareness, occupational safety culture, meaning and examples of industrial accidents) showed levels of both importance and performance, which means they require long-term improvement. It is necessary to provide constant attention to the areas that require immediate support and those that require long-term improvement, and to help improve perception of these areas among teachers. Also, it is important to provide various trainings and teaching aid related to relevant teaching-learning methods.
