초등교사와 뮤지컬 강사의 협업을 통한 어린이 뮤지컬 교육 활성화 방안

국문 초록

이 연구에서 살펴본 ‘어린이 뮤지컬’의 개념은 어린이들이 배우가 되어 무대 위에서 음악과 무용이 특화된 연극을 공연하는 것을 말한다. 그리고 연구의 대상은 어린이 뮤지컬을 교육한 경험이 풍부한 예술 강사와 초등교사가 협력하여 지도한 2018년 서울S초등학교 3학년 사례이다. 초등교사와 예술 강사의 협업을 통한 교육 양상은 ‘교육 계획과 역할 분담’, ‘교육의 내용과 공연 감상’, ‘예술 강사와 학생 간의 관계’ 등을 분석하여 살펴보았다. 먼저 ‘교육 계획’을 보면 전체적으로 어린이 뮤지컬 교육의 주요 절차와 요소를 제시하고 있다. 어린이 뮤지컬 교육의 구체적인 교육 양상은 전문적인 지식과 다양한 경험을 바탕으로 하여, 학생들의 발달 단계를 고려하여 위계화하고 개별화하고 있었다. 그리고 어린이 뮤지컬의 콘텐츠는 ‘자살 방지’, ‘학교폭력’, ‘금연교육’, ‘성폭력 예방’ 등 교육적 소재를 적극적으로 고려해야 한다. 둘째 초등교사와 뮤지컬 강사 간의 ‘역할 분담’은 어린이 뮤지컬 교육 직무연수와 같은 전문적인 교육이나 양자 간의 소통을 통해 해결해야 한다. 서울S초등학교 교사 대다수는 뮤지컬 교육 관련 직무연수를 받지 않았고, 초등교사와 예술 강사 간의 소통을 통한 역할 분담도 원활하지는 않았다. 이런 분석을 바탕으로 초등교사와 예술 강사의 협업을 더욱 활성화하기 위해서는 ‘협업을 위한 어린이 뮤지컬 직무연수 개설’, ‘협업을 위한 초등교사의 사전 준비 강화’, ‘초등교사와 예술 강사의 소통 네트워크 확보’, ‘협업을 통한 어린이 뮤지컬 교육에 관한 연구 확대’라는 대안을 모색해야 한다고 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The concept of a ‘child musical’ reviewed in this study refers to children becoming actors and performing plays specialized in music and dance on stage. And the subject of the study is the case of the third grade of Seoul S Elementary School in 2018, which was co-directed by experienced art instructors and elementary school teachers who educated children s musicals. The collaborative patterns of primary and artistic teachers analyzed in this case have implications for children’s musical education in other elementary schools and can be a model. The patterns of education through collaboration between elementary school teachers and art instructors were analyzed and examined by analyzing “education planning and role sharing”, education content and performance appreciation”, and “the relationship between art instructors and students” First of all, ‘education plan’ mentions the major procedures and elements of children’s musical education in general, but it lacked the details, methods and significance of children’s musical education in practice. Specific educational patterns of children’s musical education should be hierarchical and individualized, taking into account the students’ developmental stages, based on their professional knowledge and various experiences. And there have been discussions that the content of children’s musicals should actively consider educational materials such as “preventing suicide”, “school violence”, “no smoking education” and “preventing sexual violence” Next, it was discussed that ‘participation in roles’ between elementary school teachers and musical instructors should be resolved through professional education, such as children’s musical education, or bilateral communication. The majority of teachers at Seoul S Elementary School did not receive any extra training related to musical education, and the division of roles through communication between elementary school teachers and art instructors was also regrettable. Based on this analysis, it was discussed that in order to further collaboration between primary and artistic teachers, alternatives such as ‘Installation the extral training of children’s musicals for cooperation’, ‘strengthening the preparation of primary and secondary teachers in advance for cooperation’, ‘forming communication networks between elementary and artistic teachers’ and ‘promoting research on child musical education through collaboration’ should be explored.
