국문 초록

본 연구는 점토를 활용한 유초등미술교육에 대한 실태와 교사의 어려움 알아보고자하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2018년 5월 14일부터 6월 5일까지 K시와 S시, D시에서 유치원과 초등학교에 근무하는 교사 360명을 대상으로 한 설문지를 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 점토를 활용한 유초등미술교육의 실태는 두 곳 모두 긍정적으로 실시되고 있었으며 실시횟수와 실시시간은 같고 실시재료는 다소 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 미술교육 진행과정은 두 곳 모두 생활주제와 연관 지어 만들기가 가장 높게 나타났으며 점토를 활용한 프로그램 교육 연수는 이루어지고 있지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 점토를 활용한 유초등미술교육에 대한 교사의 어려움은 점토를 활용한 미술교육이 필요하다고는 인식하고 있었으나 다양한 프로그램이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 지도의 어려움은 두 곳 모두 지도내용에 대한 자료부족과 지도방법에 대한 기술의 부족이 가장 높게 나타났으며 다음으로는 결과물에 대한 보존 및 뒷정리에 대한 어려움을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 유초등미술교육의 점토미술활동 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 제공하리라 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the actual conditions and teacher s difficulties in art education using clay at kindergartens and elementary schools. For achieving this purpose, questionnaires were collected from 360 teachers who worked at kindergartens and elementary schools in K City, S City, and D City from May 14, 2018 to June 5, 2018 and analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The results of this study were as follows. First, as for the actual conditions of art education using clay, both kindergartens and elementary schools were positively implemented. It was found that the number of times of implementation and the execution time were the same, but there was some differences in the materials to be implemented at kindergartens and elementary schools. In addition, both art education courses had the most hours of crafts class associated with the theme of life, while educational training of clay art program was not done. Second, as for the teacher s difficulties in art education using clay, they recognized the need for art education using clay, but it was found that various programs were lacking. They had most difficulties in teaching clay art due to lacking the teaching materials and skills of clay arts education. Also it followed by the difficulties in preserving outcome and cleaning the place. These results are expected to provide basic materials for activating clay art activities at kindergartens and elementary schools.
