보육교사의 완벽주의 성향, 직무스트레스가 교사가 인식한 역할수행에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 보육교사의 완벽주의 성향과 직무스트레스가 보육교사가 인식한 역할 수행에 미치는 영향력을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2018년 3월 7일부터 4월 7일까지 서울, 경기지역의 보육교사 235명을 임의표집하여 설문 조사를 실시하 였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도 및 기술통계 분석, Pearson 상관분석, 단계적 중다회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 보육교사의 높은 기준 설정과 관련된 완벽성은 비교적 높으나 실수나 실패에 대한 두려움과 관련 완벽성은 다소 낮은 편이었고, 직무스트레스는 평균 정도로 나타났으며, 보육교사가 인식한 역할수행은 전반적으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 완벽주의 성향의 하위요인인 높은 기준 설정과 관련된 완벽성과 실수나 실패에 대한 두려움, 직무스트레스의 하위요인인 원아들과 의 활동이 역할수행 인식에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 종합하면, 보육교사의 성격적 측면인 완벽주의 성향 중 높은 기준 설정과 관련된 완벽성이 직무스트레스보다 보육교사의 역할수행에 영향을 주는 요인인 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of perfectionism and job stress of child care teachers on their perception of role performance. The participants of this study were 235 child care teachers in Seoul and Gyeong-gi province. The questionnaire were used to measure teachers’ perfectionism, job stress, and role performance. The data analysis in this study included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, Pearson s correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follow: first, the teachers showed higher mean score of high standards related perfectionism, while they showed lower mean score of fear of errors or failure related perfectionism. Their job stress was around average. Second, high standards related perfectionism and their job stress showed a significant negative relationship. But fear of errors or failure related perfectionism and their job stress showed a significant positive relationship. Between child care teachers’ high standards related perfectionism and their perceived role performance were significant positive relationship. But fear of errors or failure related perfectionism and their perceived role performance showed a significant negative relationship. Child care teachers’ job stress and their perception of role performance were negatively related. Third, child care teachers’ high standards related perfectionism, fear of errors or failure related perfectionism, and activity with children related job stress significantly explained the teachers’ perceived role performance. This study found that the characteristics of teachers are the most effective variable for their job performance. Therefore, it is needed to reconsider the positive aspects of high standards related perfectionism in teachers in order to understand and support teachers in child care workforce.
