중학생의 4요인 사회적 성취목표 잠재프로파일 분류 및 사회적 적응 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 중학생의 4요인 사회적 성취목표에 따른 잠재프로파일을 구분하고 프로파일에 따른 사회적 유능감, 공격성, 사회불안, 갈등해결전략, 자존감 수준 및 자존감 안정성의 차이를 검증해보고자 하였다. 2016년 5월에서 6월 까지 약 1달 간 D시 5개 구에 소재한 6개 중학교에 재학중인 1∼3학년 학생 581명(남 276명, 여 305명)을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS와 Mplus를 활용하여 기술통계 및 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 4요인 사회적 성취목표에 따라 ‘저 사회적 성취목표형’, ‘숙달지향 성취목표형’, ‘저지위중심 성취목표형’, ‘고지위중심 성취목표형’, ‘고사회적 성취목표형’의 5가지 유형으로 구분되었다. 특히, 숙달지향 성취목표형이 가장 긍정적인 결과를 고지위중심 성취목표형은 가장 부정적인 결과를 나타내었다. 고사회적 성취목표형은 높은 사회적 유능감을 보였으나, 또래갈등전략 중 지배전략사용이 높고 자존감이 불안정한 양면적인 양상을 나타냈다. 한편 저사회적 성취목표형은 사회적 유능감, 공격성 및 사회불안이 가장 낮고 자존감이 안정적인 특징을 나타냈다. 본 연구는 사회적 수행접근목표를 인정 및 지위중심 수행접근 목표로 구분한 4요인 사회적 성취목표의 잠재프로파일을 살펴보았다. 또한 사회적 지위중심 수행접근목표가 높은 집단이 가장 부정적인 결과를 나타내며 사회적 숙달 목표만 높은 집단은 가장 긍정적임을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 이론적 함의와 후속연구에 대한 제언이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore latent profiles of four-factors social achievement goal and to investigate the differences in social competence, aggression, social anxiety, conflict resolution strategy, self-esteem and self-esteem stability among profile groups. Applying latent profile analysis with 581 middle school students, five distinct profiles of four-factors social achievement goal were identified; ‘overall-low social achievement goal profile(i.e., low both mastery and performance goals)’, ‘mastery oriented achievement goal profile(i.e., only high mastery goal)’, ‘status-low achievement goal profile(i.e., only low status-focused performance approach goal)’, ‘status-high achievement goal profile(i.e., only high status-focused performance approach goal)’ and ‘overall-high social achievement goal profile(i.e., high both mastery and performance goals)’. The results of this study are summarized as follows: Mastery oriented achievement goal profile was the most positive than other four groups. However, status-high achievement goal profile was most negative results. Overall-high social achievement goal profile showed higher levels of social competence, but showed a bilateral pattern in which peer conflict domination strategy was highly used and self-esteem was unstable. In this study, we examined the latent profiles of the four-factors social achievement goals by identifying it as the approval-focused and status-focused performance approach goal, and confirmed the maladaptive outcome of the group with the high level of the social status-focused performance approach goal. Only high level of mastery goal was most positive. The implications for future research were discussed.
