학습윤리에 대한 대학생들의 인식 조사 연구

국문 초록

본고는 대학교 신입생들의 학습윤리 인식을 면밀히 분석함으로써 대학교에서의 학습윤리 교육의 필요성을 밝히고, 학습윤리 교육의 구체적 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 신입생을 위해 개설한 ‘글쓰기’ 과목을 수강하는 서울 소재 K대학교의 문과계열 54명, 이공계열 58명, 총 112명의 신입생을 대상으로 학습윤리 인식에 대한 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문지 구성은 일반 학업 수행 및 과제물 작성 관련 항목 등 크게 두 부분으로 나뉘며, 설문 문항에 대한 응답은 5점 리커트 척도를 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 일반 학업 수행에 대한 윤리 인식 평균값은 4.0 이상으로 비교적 높은 수준을 보인 데 반해, 과제물 관련 항목은 평균 이하로 낮은 학습 윤리 인식 수준을 보였다. 윤리 인식에 대한 성별 간 차이에서는 여학생보다 남학생이, 계열별 차이에서는 문과계열보다 이공계열 신입생의 학습윤리 인식이 전반적으로 낮게 나타났다. 과제물 작성과 관련한 윤리 항목에서 평균값이 낮은 항목은 ‘과제 중복 제출, 과제 양도, 과제 미 참여자 공동 표기, 부분적 출처 표기, 원전의 전개 구조 및 방식에 대한 표절’ 등으로 이들 항목에 대한 보다 체계적인 교육의 필요성이 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to reveal the necessity to educate the learning ethics in universities, and also to seek for the concrete direction for the education of learning ethics, by closely analyzing the university freshmen s perception of learning ethics. For this, a survey on the perception of learning ethics was conducted targeting total 112 freshmen including 54 liberal arts students and 58 science & engineering students of K university in Seoul, taking the writing course opened for freshmen. The composition of the questionnaire was largely divided into two parts such as items related to general academic performance and items related to completion of assignments, and for the responses to the survey questions, the 5-point Likert Scale was used.. In the results of this study, the mean value of ethics related to general academic performance was 4.0 or up, which was relatively high. However, the items related to assignment were lower than the mean, which showed the low level of perception of learning ethics. Meanwhile, regarding the differences in the perception of ethics in accordance with sex and affiliation, overall, the male students and the freshmen in science & engineering showed the lower perception of learning ethics than female students and freshmen in liberal arts. The items of ethics related to the completion of assignments showing the low mean values included ‘double submission of assignments, transfer of assignments, joint marking of non-participants in assignments, partial marking of sources, plagiarism of development structure/methods of the original text, and the act of changing into his/her own words without marking the source of the original . Thus, it would be necessary to provide more systematic education about these items.
