국문 초록

이 연구는 최근 교육과정 분야에서 활발히 논의되고 있는 교육과정 재구성 사례 중 통합 단원 개발에 대해 국내외 학자들의 다양한 사례를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이러한 통합 단원 개발은 KDB 모형에 근거하여 이루어지고 있는 경우가 많았으나 KDB 모형을 적용하는 절차나 방향이 서로 상이하고 선행 연구들의 특이점을 총체적으로 파악하는 연구가 부족하였다. 이에 통합 단원 개발에서 KDB 모형이 어떻게 활용되고 있으며 특이점과 유용성은 어떠한지 분석해 보고 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, KDB 모형은 4차 산업혁명을 대비한 핵심역량을 함양할 수 있도록 유도하며 학습자의 전인적 성장을 돕는 교육과정 재구성 모형으로 유용하다. 교육과정의 상호 중복 요소를 해소, 간학문적 통합을 통한 총제적인 평가, 학업 성취도 측면에도 유용성을 갖는다. 또한 범교과 학습과 교과 학습의 통합, 특수교육 교육 분야에서도 유용하게 활용될 수 있으며 교사의 전문적 자질 향상에 기여한다. 이 연구가 KDB 모형에 근거하여 통합 단원을 설계하고 적용하려는 교사 및 예비교사를 위한 안내서가 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study examines the development of integrated unit among the cases of curriculum restructuring which is actively discussed in the field of curriculum. Although the development of the integrated unit is often based on the KDB model, there is a lack of research on how to apply the KDB model to different processes and directions and to collectively understand the peculiarities of the previous studies. The purpose of this study is to find out how the KDB model is used in the development of integrated units, how specificity and usefulness work, and some implications. As a result of the study, the KDB model drives core competencies to prepare for the fourth industrial revolution. It is also useful as a curriculum reorganization model that helps learners grow as a whole. It also removes the overlapping elements of the curriculum. It enables comprehensive evaluation through interdisciplinary integration and is useful in terms of academic achievement. It can also integrate curriculum learning and curriculum learning, and can be useful for special education for students with disabilities. I hope that this study will guide teachers and prospective teachers to design and apply integrated units based on the KDB model.
