국문 초록

본 연구는 유아 어머니의 삶의 만족도와 양육태도 간의 관계에서 어머니의 정신건 강의 매개효과를 살펴보기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 이를 위해 부산시와 울산시에 소재한 유치원 8곳에 재원중인 유아의 어머니 558명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과에서 먼저, 어머니 삶의 만족도와 민주적-자율적 대 권위적-통제적 양육태도간의 관계에서 정신건강은 완전매개효과를 나타냈다. 다음으로, 어머니의 삶의 만족도와 애정적-수용적 대 적대적-거부적 양육태도간의 관계에서 정신건강이 부분매개효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 어머니의 양육태도에 어머니의 정신건강과 삶의 만족도가 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인이라는 점과 정신건강이 두 변인 사이에서 매개 효과를 나타낸다는 것을 설명함으로써 보다 효과적인 양육태도 함양을 위해 필요한 기본 정보임을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of the mental health of mothers with preschoolers on the relationship between their life satisfaction and maternal attitude. The subjects in this study were 558 selected mothers of preschoolers who attended 8 different kindergartens located in the cities of Busan and Ulsan. The findings of the study were as follows: Mental health had perfect mediating effects on the relationship between life satisfaction and democratic-autonomous vs. authoritarian-controlling maternal attitudes. And mental health had partial mediating effects on the relationship between life satisfaction and affectionate-receptive vs. hostile-rejective maternal attitudes. The findings of the study showed that the mental health and life satisfaction of the mothers were the variables to exercise a significant influence on maternal attitude, and that mental health had mediating effects on the relationship between the two variables. The findings of the study are expected to provide useful information on how to improve maternal attitude in a more effective way.
