국문 초록

본 연구는 New Lonon Group(1996)이 제안한 복합양식 문식성 개념에서 유아의 표상능력 증진을 위한 방안을 탐색하여 사고교육으로써의 표상학습이 이루어질 수 있는 교수전략을 제안하고자 하였는데, 표상능력 증진을 위한 교수전략으로 첫째, 복합문식 요소인 언어·시각·음향·동작·공간적 디자인에서는 ‘무엇’을 가지고, 둘째, 복합문식 활동유형인 가용디자인·디자인하기·재디자인하기에서는 ‘어떤’ 활동을 통해서, 셋째, 복합문식 교수방법인 맥락적 활동·명시적 교수·비판적 활동·변용된 실천에서는 ‘어떤 교수전략’을 사용하여 표상학습을 할 것인가에 대한 근거를 제안하였으며, 이는 유아들에게 유아 자신의 생각을 표현할 경험의 기회를 어떻게 제공해 줄 것인지에 대한 교수·학습의 방법적 측면에서 다양한 교육활동의 아이디어를 제공할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine how the concept of multimodal literacy could be combined with the concept of representation in the dimension of thinking. It s basically meant to seek alternative ways of boosting significant representation activities on the basis of New Lonon Group(1996) s concept of multimodal literacy in an effort to explore effective teaching-learning methods for representation activities. Specifically, this study focused on how to provide representation as thinking education to encourage learners to learn. In order to map out a successful plan on how to teach preschoolers to learn through significant representation activities, what to teach with should be considered to instruct the factors of multimodal literacy that are verbal, visual, sound, movement and spatial design, and what activities shall be used should be studied about the activity types of multimodal literacy that are available design, designing and redesigning. And what teaching strategy shall be used should be considered as to the teaching methods of multimodal literacy that are contextual activity, explicit instruction, critical activity and alternation of practice. This study is expected to give some suggestions on teaching-learning methods about how to offer an opportunity for preschoolers to express themselves through a variety of educational activities.
