커뮤니티 매핑을 활용한 집단지성 기반 생태교육에 대한 사례연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 공공참여형 GIS 기술을 활용한 집단지성 기반 생태교육이 학교 내에서 어떻게 이루어질 수 있으며 학생들 사이에서 일어나는 지식공유 과정과 인식변화는 무엇인지에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 연구목적 달성을 위하여 이 연구에서는 질적 연구방법을 통해 수업과 학생들의 생활 속에서 일어나는 일들에 대해 관찰하여 기술하였고, 푸른꿈 고등학교라는 대안학교의 ‘반딧불이 프로젝트’에 대한 사례연구를 실시하였다. 연구도구로 공공참여형 GIS 기술을 활용한 어플리케이션 mappler를 활용하였고 ‘반딧불이 프로젝트’라는 SNS 가상커뮤니티를 활용하였다. 연구를 수행한 결과 집단지성이 일어나는 모습을 분석한 결과 ‘숙제로 시작된 그들 의 활동’, ‘우리학교가 있는 곳 무주’, ‘나도 몰랐던 무주의 발견’, ‘나는 무주 사람이 야’라는 주제로 도출되었다. 공공참여형 GIS를 활용한 체험 프로그램이 일회적인 것이 아니라 학생들이 지역문제에 관심을 갖고 그 주체가 되어 행동으로 옮기는 ‘자기 환경화’가 가능한 교육적 접근이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구가 대안학교라는 특수한 환경에서 이루어졌지만 수업에서 지역사회의 문제를 끌어 들여 고민하는 것은 일반 적으로 모든 학교나 교과에 적용해 볼 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 이 연구를 토대로 공공참여형 GIS기술을 보완하고 활용한 어플리케이션의 개발과 교수·학습 방법을 개발하여 집단지성과 연계하면 지역문제가 학생들에게 직접적이고 가까이 접할 수 있는 수업도구로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to see how collective intelligence, based ecological education with the use of public participation GIS technology, is made inside schools. In addition, it is to look into the knowledge exchange process of students and incurring results. In this study, we used the ethnography, a qualitative research method. Through ethnography, we observed and described events that happen in their classes and life. The researcher personally participated in the field where knowledge exchange was made, to observe students. We used the mappler application utilizing public participation GIS technology as a research tool. In addition, we used the virtual community Facebook group called The Firefly Project . We analyzed their positing on mappler and facebook group, and supplemented questionable posting through additional interviews. From the study, we were able to categorize their collective intelligence behaviors into four parts : Their activity started by homeworks , Muju, where our school is located , Muju s rediscovery which even I did not know , I am a Muju person . The experimental program using public participation GIS is not just for a one time study, but it will give students the opportunity to be concerned in local problems and act as self-environments . Even though this study was performed in an alternative school, bringing local society problems into class studies is viewed possible to apply to all schools and subjects. Based on this study, if we remedy the public participation GIS technology and connect collection intelligence to the use and development of applications, local problems can be used as a study tool that can allow students to approach easily.
