현직 체육교사의 표현활동에 관한 인식과 지도의 어려움

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 현직 체육교사들의 표현활동 수업에 관한 인식과 지도의 어려움에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 실제 현장 경험 중심으로 체육 수업 중 표현활동 수업의 이해, 적용, 실행과정에 대한 다양한 경험을 살펴보고자 한다. 방법 현직 체육교사 3명이 연구에 참여하였으며 질적 사례연구를 분석하였다. 관련된 자료 수집을 위해 개방형 설문지 및 심층 면담을 진행하였으며, 수집된 자료를 분석하기 위해 Clandinin & Connelly(2000)의 분석 4단계에 맞춰 현직교사들의 표현활동 수업의 모든 경험과 과정이 갖는 의미를 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과 첫째, 현직교사들은 표현활동 수업의 경험 유무에 따라 표현영역을 바라보는 시선과 인식이 다르게 나타났다. 둘째, 현직교사들은 표현활동 수업에 대한 어려움 중 시범에 대한 부담으로 학생들에 대한 두려움이 나타났다. 셋째, 교사들은 표현활동 수업에 대한 평가를 부담스럽게 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 학교현장에서는 다양한 환경적인 요소로 인해 표현영역을 접근하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 체육 교사들은 표현영역에 대한 반성적 성찰과 표현영역에 대한 전문성을 갖추어야 할 것이다. 또한 교육부에서 지향하는 표현영역의 본직적인 목표를 수행하기 위해서는 현직교사 및 예비교사들은 무용교과 및 표현영역에 대한 선입견을 버리고 교사들 스스로 표현영역에 대한 공부를 통해 자신감을 회복하고 수업을 실천할 수 있도록 해야할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to analyze the understanding of physical education teachers' expression activity classes and physical education class experiences. In the field of physical education, we would like to investigate the difficulties and limitations of awareness and teaching of expression activity classes. Methods Three physical education teachers participated in the study and analyzed qualitative case studies. Open questionnaires and in-depth interviews were conducted to collect related data, and in order to analyze the collected data, the meaning of all the experiences and processes of current teachers' expression activity classes was analyzed in accordance with the four stages of analysis by Clandin & Connelly (2000).  Results As a result of the study, first, teachers had different views and perceptions of the expression area depending on their experience in expression activity classes. Second, among the difficulties in expression activity classes, teachers showed fear of students due to the burden of demonstration. Third, it was found that teachers thought the evaluation of expression activity classes was burdensome.  Fourth, it was found that various environmental factors prevented access to the expression area in the school field. Conclusions Physical education teachers should reflect on the area of expression and have expertise in the area of expression. Teachers and prospective teachers should abandon their preconceived notions about dance subjects and expression areas and study the expression area on their own so that they can restore confidence and practice classes.
