국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 코로나19와 관련 공공 언어에 대한 대구 지역민의 인식 양상을 파악하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 대구광역시에서 게시한 공공 언어 자료를 수집한 후 대상 어휘를 선정하여 대구 지역민1,224명을 대상으로 공공 언어 관심도와 이해도를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 92.4%에 해당하는 대구 시민이 코로나19 관련 공공 언어를 활용하고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 특히 생활에 직접적으로 연관된 감염자 관련 정보 및 자가 격리 관련 정보에 관심이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 응답자의 코로나19 관련공공 언어에 대한 이해도는 보통 수준 이상이며, 총 123개 대상 어휘·표현 중 약 78%에 해당하는 96 개 항목에서 이해에 어려움을 느끼지 않는다고 응답하였다. 어렵다고 느낀 상위 5개의 어휘는 백신 관련 정보 항목이다. 이상의 연구를 통해 코로나19 관련 공공 언어에 대한 개선이 필요함을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the language perception patterns of the Daegu residents about the public language related to COVID-19. To this end, public language data posted by Daegu Metropolitan City were collected, individual vocabulary was selected, and 1,224 Daegu residents were surveyed for their interest and understanding of public language. Daegu citizens (92.4%) are using public language related to the COVID-19, and they are particularly interested in information related to the infected person and self-isolation related directly to the daily living environment of the COVID-19. The level of understanding of public languages r elated to COVID-19 is recognized as above the normal level. Of the total 123 target vocabulary and expressions, 96 items (about 78%) answered that they did not feel any difficulty. However, it is noteworthy that the top 5 vocabulary, which felt difficult, appeared only in items that convey vaccine-related information. Through this study, it was necessary to re-examine the public language related to the COVID-19.
