원자력공학과 재학 대학생의 원자력 관련 연구기관 현장실습 경험에 관한 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 원자력공학과 재학 대학생의 원자력 관련 연구기관 현장실습 경험을 살펴봄으로써 올바른 원자력 인력양성에 기여하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 K 원자력 관련 연구기관에서 근무중인 원자력공학과 재학 대학생 2인을 대상으로 연구참여자의 주관적 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하고자 질적 연구 방법을 적용하고 참여관찰과 면담, 현지 자료 수집을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 에믹 코딩을 실시하여 3개의 대분류, 6개의 중분류, 17개의 소분류로 도출하여 현장실습 경험을 파악하였다. 결과 연구 참여자의 현장실습 참여자들의 현장실습 현장의 특징은 첫째, 공간적인 관점에서 공사 현장으로 생각할 수 있는 해체 현장의 원자로 시설, 계측실, 폐기물 관리 공간과 사무실이었다. 둘째, 인간관계 측면에서 부서 내의 모든 사람과 좋은 유대관계를 가지고 있었다. 다음으로 연구 참여자의 업무는 계획수립 및 보고서 작성과 같은 행정업무부터 공기 중 방사능 농도 측정 업무까지 다양하며 현장실습 프로그램에서 직무 내용과 부서내의 인간 관계가 가장 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구 참여자는 현장실습 프로그램을 통해 지식의 폭은 넓히고 수행한 업무의 적합도를 판단하여 본인의 진로 방향을 정할 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 원자력 관련 연구기관 현장실습 프로그램에 대한 이해를 돕고 현장실습 프로그램에서 멘토와 동료의 역할과 현장실습생에게 적절한 직무를 부여하는 것이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to contribute to the field Training program of correct nuclear manpower by examining the field training experience of nuclear-related research institutes of college students majoring in nuclear engineering. Methods For this purpose, a qualitative research method was used to deeply explore the subjective experiences of the research participants, targeting two college students in the Department of Nuclear Engineering working at the K nuclear-related research institute. Participation observation, interviews, and local data collection were conducted. The collected data were derived into 3 major categories, 6 middle categories, and 17 sub-categories by performing emic coding to identify the field practice experience. Results First, the characteristics of the field training site of the study participants were the reactor facility, measurement room, waste management space and office at the dismantling site, which can be thought of as a construction site from a spatial point of view. Second, in terms of human relations, I had a good relationship with everyone in the department. Next, the tasks of the study participants varied from administrative tasks such as planning and writing reports to measuring radioactivity concentrations in the air, and it was found that the job description and interpersonal relationships within the department were the most important in the field training program. Finally, the research participants were able to broaden their knowledge and determine the appropriateness of the work they performed through the field practice program to determine their own career direction. Conclusions The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to help understand the field training programs of nuclear-related research institutes and to assign the roles of mentors and colleagues in the field training programs and appropriates jobs to field training students.
