수학교육과 기하 및 해석 교과목의 거꾸로 수업 적용 사례에 대한 탐색적 고찰

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 거꾸로 수업 교수법을 사범대학 수학교육과 전공수학에 적용 사례에 대한 학생과 교수자의 변화를 관찰 연구한 결과이다. 방법 경상도 소재 K대학 사범대학 수학교육과 기하 및 해석 교과목을 7년간 거꾸로 수업을 진행하였다. 이를 통한 학생의 학업성취와 강의평가 결과를 조사하였고 수업활동과 평가 변화를 관찰하였다. 결과 수학교육과 전공수업을 수강한 학생들의 강의평가 결과와 학업성취도 결과를 분석하였다. 7년간 수업에 대한 평가 제도의 변화와 수업활동의 변화도 조사하였다. 결과적으로 학생들의 학업성취도는 높아졌으며 강의평가결과도 유의미한 변화가 있었다. 또한 거꾸로 수업은 교수자를 지식 전달자에서 학습도우미 역할로 변화시켰다. 결론 교원양성기관으로 사범대학의 역할은 ‘좋은수업’을 하는 예비교사를 양성하여야 한다. 특히 ‘좋은 수학수업’을 하는 교사를 양성하기 위하여 양성기관에서 거꾸로 수업을 통해 ‘좋은 수학수업’을 경험하는 것이 중요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study is the result of observing and studying the changes of students and instructors in the case of applying Flipped Lessons method to mathematics lessons of the College of Education. Methods The mathematics classes of K-University located in Gyeongsang-do was operated by flipped learning method for seven years. Through this, student’s academic achievement and lecture evaluation results were investigated, and changes in class activities and evaluation were observed. Results The results of lecture evaluation and academic achievement of students who took mathematics classes in the Department of Mathematics Education were analyzed. Changes in the evaluation method for classes and changes in class activities over the past 7 years were also investigated. As a result, student’s academic achievement improved and there were significant changes in the lecture evaluation results. Flipped class also changed the instructor from a knowledge communicator to a learning assistant. Conclusions The role of the College of Education as a teacher training institution is to train preparatory teachers who can teach ‘good classes’. In particular, in order to nurture teachers who can teach ‘good math classes’, it is important to experience ‘good math classes’ through flipped classes at the college.
