유아과학교육 수업에 적용된 팅커링과 메이킹 중심 메이커 활동이 예비유아교사의 창의적 성향과 문제해결력에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 유아과학교육 수업에서 적용된 팅커링과 메이킹 중심 메이커 활동이 예비유아교사의 창의적 성향과 문제해결력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실행되었다. 방법 팅커링과 메이킹 접근 메이커 활동이 예비유아교사의 창의적 성향과 문제해결력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 U도시에 소재한 대학의 유아교육과 유아과학교육 수업을 수강하는 3학년 학생 47명을 실험집단과 비교집단으로 설정하고 두 집단 간 동질성 검증을 위해 독립표본 t 검증과 정규성 검정을 실시하였다. 이에 대한 효과검증을 위해 SPSS WIN 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t 검증과 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 결과 팅커링과 메이킹 중심 메이커 활동을 실시한 실험집단이 비교집단보다 창의적 성향과 문제해결력 점수가 높게 나타났으며 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 팅커링과 메이킹 중심 메이커 활동 실행은 예비유아교사의 창의적 성향과 문제해결력 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 이를 통해 팅커링과 메이킹 중심 메이커 활동은 미래인재 양성을 위해 필요한 교사 역량을 기를 수 있는 교육 방법으로 적용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was carried out to investigate the effect of tinkering and making-oriented maker activities applied to early childhood science education classes on the creative disposition and problem-solving ability of early childhood pre-service teachers. Methods Forty-seven third students from the early childhood education department at a college located in U city were set as the experimental group and the comparison group, and an independent sample t-test and normality test were performed to verify the homogeneity between the two groups. To verify the effects on the creative tendencies and problem-solving skills of early childhood pre-service teachers according to the early childhood science education class through the making and tinkering approach maker activities, t-test and covariate analysis (ANCOVA) were performed using the SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Results The experimental group, which conducted early childhood science play classes through tinkering and making-oriented maker activities showed higher scores on creative disposition and problem-solving ability than the comparative group, and there was a significant difference between the groups. Conclusions The implementation of early childhood science play classes through tinkering and making-oriented maker activities positively affects the creative disposition and problem-solving ability of early childhood pre-service teachers. The study suggests that maker activities can be an educational method to develop teacher competency for nurturing future talents.
