댓글을 활용한 비판적 문식성 교육 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 기능적 문식성 교육에 치중되어 온 교육 현실에 대한 반성적 성찰을 바탕으로 한국어교육에서의비판적 문식성 교육의 필요성을 주장하고, 비판적 문식성 교육 제재로서 인터넷 댓글의 유용성과 이를 활용한 비판적 문식성 교수 학습 방안을 제안하였다. 언어를 사회적 행위로 보는 관점의 전환과 인터넷 환경에서 쉽게 정보를 생산하고 공유할 수 있는 디지털 환경은 학습자들에게 쏟아지는 정보를 평가하고 종합하며, 자신의 목소리를낼 수 있는 능력을 요구한다. 이에 본고에서는 한국어교육에서 비판적 문식성 교육의 필요성을 주장하였으며, 교육적 제재로서 실제성과 접근성이 높고, 원 텍스트와 관련된 다양한 목소리를 접할 수 있는 인터넷 댓글의 적절성을 고찰하였다. 또한 비판적 문식성 교수 학습 방안을 제안하였는데, 기존의 연구에서 학습자들에게 어떤 방식으로 텍스트를 읽어야 할지 구체적인 방법을 제시하지 못하고 당위성을 주장하는 데에서 그쳤던 한계를 극복하고자McLaughlin & Allen(2002)와 McLaughlin & DeVoogd(2004)에서 제안한 비판적 문식성 교수 학습 모형을바탕으로 ‘설명하기-보여주기-이끌기-연습하기-성찰하기’로 구성된 5단계의 교수 학습 단계별 내용을 제시하였다. 그리고 비판적 문식성 전략을 적용하여 신문 기사를 분석하는 과정에서 다섯 가지 질문에 답이 될 수 있는 댓글을선정하여 분석의 실제를 보임으로써 교육적 활용 가능성을 보였다. 마지막으로 이를 바탕으로 댓글을 활용한 비판적 문식성 교수 학습 설계를 위한 제언을 교수 학습 단계에 따라 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study insists on the necessity of critical literacy education in Korean language education based on a reflection of the educational reality focused on functional literacy education. It proposes the usefulness of internet comments, critical literacy teaching and learning methods using it. The shift in perspective of viewing language as a social interaction and the digital environment, in which information can be easily produced and shared, requires learners to have an ability to evaluate, synthesize, and speak out their opinions about social issues. Therefore, this paper argues for the necessity of a critical literacy education in Korean language education. In addition, it considers whether comments from online newspaper articles with high authenticity and accessibility and access to various opinions related to the original text are appropriate as educational materials. In order to develop critical literacy in existing studies, it attempts to overcome the limitations that it does not present specific methods for reading texts to the learners and only insist on a justification. Therefore, based on the critical literacy teaching and learning model proposed by McLaughlin & Allen(2002) and McLaughlin & DeVoogd(2004), the contents of the five steps of teaching and learning consisting of explain-demonstrate-guidepractice- reflect’ are presented. In addition, the possibility of educational use is shown by applying critical literacy strategies to use comments in newspaper articles for analysis. Finally, based on this, suggestions for critical literacy teaching and learning designs using comments, are presented according to the five steps.
