고등교육과정에 대한 지식사회학적 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 지식사회학 관점에서 국내 고등교육과정에서의 인성교육과정을 분석하여 인성교육의 구현 방향과 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 인성교육 5개년 종합계획과 고등교육기관 내 인성교육을 지식사회학 관점에서분석하였다. 이를 통해, 국내 인성교육정책 안에 내재된 정치성과 함께 사회문화적 특수성 또한 배태되어 있음을확인하였다. 오늘날 우리사회 내 고등교육기관의 인성교육이 보편적이기보다는 개별적 방식으로 진행되고 있으며이러한 연구경향으로 인해 인성교육정책에서 고등교육과정에 대한 논의의 부재가 발생하고 있음을 고찰하였다. 고등교육기관 내 인성교육에 대한 밀도 있는 논의를 위해, C-대학의 인성교육을 분석하였다. C-대학은 국내 대학들 가운데 특성화된 인성교육을 시행하는 대학으로서, 현재 모듈식 인성교육 프로그램을 개발하여 시행하고 있기때문이다. 특히 C-대학의 경계-모듈형 인성교육은 학생맞춤형 인성교육사례로서 고등교육기관을 매개로 보편적 교육을 지향한다는 점에서 그 의미가 있다고 평가할 수 있다. 이와 같은 인성교육의 구체적 사례에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 국내 고등교육에서의 인성교육은 초중고 인성교육과는 그 목적과 방법이 차별화될 필요성이 있다. 그리고 이를 위해서는 대학 간 협력이 절실히 요구된다. 무엇보다 고등교육에서의 공동연구가 교육의 위기라고 불리는 코로나시대에 우리사회 내 인성교육에 대한 유의미한 시사점을 제공해 줄 수 있기 때문이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to propose a direction and plan for implementing character education by analyzing the curriculum in higher education from the perspective of the sociology of knowledge. To this end, a five-year comprehensive plan for character education and character education within higher educational institutions were analyzed in the context of the sociology of knowledge. It was confirmed that socio-cultural specificity, as well as the politics inherent in character education policy, were also assigned. Today, it was considered that character education of higher education institutions in our society is being conducted in an individual rather than universal, and this research trend is causing a lack of discussion in character education policy. Character education at C-University was analyzed for a dense discussion on character education in higher education. This is because C-University provides specialized character education among domestic universities, and currently develops and implements modular character education programs. In particular, C-University’s boundary-modular character education can be evaluated as meaningful in that it aims for universal education through higher educational institutions as a case of student-tailored character education. As can be seen from such specific cases of character education, character education in higher education in Korea needs to be differentiated in its purpose and method from elementary, middle, and high school character education. And for this, cooperation between universities is urgently required. Above all, joint research in higher education can provide significant implications for character education in the COVID-19 era, which is called the crisis of education.
