국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 바깥놀이에 대한 한국과 일본의 국가 간 비교를 통해서 유아교사의 어린시절 놀이경험, 인식, 실행 수준의 일반적 경향성과 차이를 분석하고, 바깥놀이 실행을 활성화 시키기 위한 내재적 변인 간 관계를 파악하는데 있다. 방법 연구대상은 한국 유아교사 240명, 일본 유아교사 245명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 신뢰도분석, 독립표본 t-검증, 상관관계분석과 매개효과 검증을 위한 위계적 회귀분석 및 유의성 검증을 위해 부트스트래핑 방식을 통한 검증을 적용하였다. 결과 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 바깥놀이에 대한 유아교사의 어린시절 놀이경험, 방해요인, 실행 수준의 한-일 간 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 한-일 유아교사의 어린시절 바깥놀이 경험, 인식, 실행 간 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 셋째, 바깥놀이에 대한 유아교사의 어린시절 놀이경험과 실행 간 관계에서 한국과 일본 모두 바깥놀이에 대한 인식의 완전매개 효과가 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 한국과 일본 유아교사의 바깥놀이에 대한 어린시절 놀이경험, 인식, 실행 간의 비교 분석을 통한 국가 간 차이점의 확인, 어린시절 바깥놀이 경험이 바깥놀이 실행에 미치는 간접적 영향력 및 바깥놀이에 대한 인식이 실행을 결정하는 주요 요인임을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구결과를 통해 한국과 일본의 사회적 맥락의 유사성과 연구결과에 따른 차이점을 바탕으로 우리나라 유아교육기관 바깥놀이 활성화 방안에 대한 방향과 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the general tendency and the level of play memories, perception, and operation of early childhood teachers through comparison between Korea and Japan on outdoor play, and to identify the intrinsic variables to activate the execution of outdoor play. Methods The subjects of this study were 240 Korean early childhood teachers and 245 Japanese early childhood teachers. The collected data were analyzed by reliability analysis, t-test, and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 25.0 program, and the mediating effect was verified by bootstrapping method. Results The main research results are as follows. First, there was a significant difference between Korea and Japan in memories of outdoor play, obstacles and operating level of early childhood teachers. Second, there was a positive correlation between memories of outdoor play, perception and operation of early childhood teachers in Korea and Japan. Third, in the relationship between memories of outdoor play and operation, both Korea and Japan showed a complete mediating effect of perception. Conclusions This study was significant in that it identified differences between countries through comparative analysis between childhood outdoor play memories, perceptions, and operations of Korean and Japanese childhood teachers and confirmed that indirect influence on outdoor play and awareness of outdoor play are key factors. Through the results of this study, the similarities in the social contexts of Korea and Japan and the differences according to the results were examined, and the directions and implications for the revitalization of outdoor play in early childhood education institutions in Korea were discussed.
