국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 코로나 시대 원격수업으로 개설된 A대학의 교양교과 수업사례 분석이다. 학습자들의 ‘통합된 미적경험’을 구축하기 위한 교과목표가 어떻게 가치지향적 삶을 추구하는 교양교육의 목적을 수행하고 있는지에 대한 연구이다. 방법 분석 대상 및 방법은 원격수업 하에서 문제 중심 학습모형(Problem-Based Learning)과 자기주도형 학습을 기반으로 설계된 수업체계에 따라 본 교과 수강인원 25명을 대상으로 다음 세 가지 사항에 대한 내용분석을 시행하였다. 첫째, 수업시작 전 학습자들의 학습동기 및 목표 인식을 위한 설문조사. 둘째, <나를 둘러싼 아름다운 것들>이라는 주제의 최종 과제물. 셋째, 학습자들의 통합된 미적 경험에서의 해석과 판단기준이다. 결과 첫째, 수업 전 설문에 대한 분석결과, 학습자들의 수업목표에 의한 ‘필요’는 미와 예술에 대한 상식적 관심의 지식화 및 전공의 심화·확장으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수업 이후 제출된 최종과제물 분석에 의하면 학습자들은 구체적인 미적 대상과 이론적 지식을 연결하고, 이를 일상의 경험 속에서 맥락화하여 ‘표현하기’의 문제를 일련의 미적경험으로 해결하고 있었다. ‘나를 둘러싼’이라는 주제에서의 전제는 인문사회 및 이공계열, 예술계열에 있어서 서로 다른 경험치를 제공하였다. 셋째, 학습자들의 작품에 대한 해석과 평가 기준 분석결과, 학습자들은 타 학습자들이 새롭게 발견한 ‘일상적 경험’의 의외성을 높게 평가하였고, 동일 세대에서 공감하는 시대적 환경의 메시지를 중요시하고 있다. 결론 본 수업을 통해 학습자들은 단순한 미와 예술에 대한 지식화에서 벗어나 문제해결을 위한 고민과 함께 학우들의 새로운 관점을 체험함으로써 통합된 미적 경험을 체득하였다. 이러한 미적 경험은 매체의 시각적인 효과에만 매몰되지 않고 공감과 소통의 ‘메시지’에 정서적 감응을 이끌어냄으로써 삶에 대한 가치판단으로 나아갔다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study is an analysis of the class case of “Understanding Beauty and Art”, a liberal arts course in the second semester of 2021, at A University in the metropolitan area, which was opened as a distance learning in the era of COVID-19. Methods As for the analysis target and method, the following three items were analyzed for 25 students in this course according to the class system designed based on ‘Problem-Based Learning and self-directed learning under distance learning. First, a survey for learners’ learning motivation and goal recognition before class starts. Second, the final assignment under the theme of ‘Beautiful Things Around Me’, which was presented to express the contextual connection between knowledge-based knowledge and daily experiences using various media. Third, the criteria for selecting other learners assignments, which are the criteria for interpretation and judgment in the learners integrated aesthetic experience. Results As a result of the analysis of the pre-class questionnaire, it was found that the ‘needs’ according to the learning goals of the learners were made into knowledge of common-sense interest in beauty and art and deepening/expansion of majors. In the analysis of the final assignment submitted after class, it developed into a series of aesthetic experiences to solve the problem of ‘expression’ by linking specific aesthetic objects and theoretical knowledge and contextualizing them in daily experiences. Also, it was found that the premise in the subject of ‘Around me’ provides different experience points in the humanities and social sciences, science and engineering fields, and arts fields. Finally, as a result of the analysis of learners work and the evaluation criteria, it was revealed that other learners highly valued the unexpectedness of the newly discovered ‘everyday experience’, and emphasized the message of the environment of the times that the same generation sympathized with. Conclusions Through this class, learners went beyond the simple knowledge of beauty and art, and acquired an integrated aesthetic experience by experiencing the new perspectives of the classmates as well as thinking for problem-solving. It can be seen that this aesthetic experience is not only immersed in the visual effects of the medium, but elicits an emotional response to the ‘message’ of empathy and communication, leading to a value judgment on life.
