정신화 연구 동향 및 메타분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 국내 상담 및 심리 분야의 학술지에서 정신화와 관련된 연구들의 동향을 탐색하여 종합적으로 정리하고 메타분석을 통해 정신화와 관련된 변인들의 상관관계 효과크기를 체계적으로 검토하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 2010년부터 2020년까지 국내 상담 및 심리 분야 학술지에 출간된 정신화 관련 논문 총 65편을 선정하여 출판연도, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구주제, 측정도구, 관련 변인 등 연구 동향을 분석하였고, 그중 상관관계가 명시된 28편을 대상으로 정신화 관련 변인간의 효과크기 메타분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 정신화 연구는 최근 연구 수가 증가하고 있으며, 연구대상은 성인이 가장 비중이 높았고, 연구방법은 양적 연구가, 연구주제는 가족 특성을 다루는 연구, 측정도구는 정신화 질문지(MZQ)의 비중이 가장 높았다. 둘째, 메타분석 결과 정신화 관련 전체 연구사례는 정적으로 작은 효과크기를 보였고, 정신화와 긍정정서는 정적으로 높은 효과크기를 보였으며, 긍정 인지행동은 정적으로 작은 효과를 보였다. 그리고 정신화와 불안정 애착은 부적으로 작은 효과크기를 보였다. 반면에 그 외 관련 변인들과의 효과크기는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 결론 연구의 의의 및 제한점 그리고 상담 및 심리치료 분야에서의 후속연구에 대해 제언하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze trends of studies related to mentalization and the correlation effect size of variables related to mentalization through meta-analysis in Korean academic journals in the field of counseling and psychology. Methods A total of 65 articles related to mentalization were selected to analyze research trends such as publication year, research subject, research topic, measurement tool, and related variables. 28 articles of them were to analyze the effect size of related variab5les by meta-analysis. Results First, the number of studies on mentalization research is increasing recently, and the study subjects were adults the most. The research method was quantitative research, the research topic was research dealing with family characteristics, and the measurement tool was the mentalization questionnaire(MZQ) had the highest proportion. Second, as a result of meta-analysis, the entire study studies of mentalization showed a positively low effect size, mentalization and positive emotions showed a positively high effect size, mentalization and positive cognitive behavior showed a positively low effect. And mentalization and instability attachment showed a negatively low effect size. On the other hand, the effect size with other related variables were not statistically significant. Conclusions Based on the resluts, the significance and limitations of the study were discussed, and follow-up studies in the field of counseling and psychotherapy were suggested.
