빅데이터 활용 탐구 수업의 설계와 적용 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 빅데이터 활용을 기반으로 탐구 수업을 설계하고 적용하여 학습자의 빅데이터 활용 역량과 학습만족도에 효과가 있는지 분석하는 것이다. 방법 과학고등학교 학생 80명을 대상으로 지구과학 I에서 빅데이터 활용 탐구 수업을 진행하였다. 빅데이터 활용 역량을 측정하기 위해 시나리오 기반 빅데이터 활용 역량 사전·사후 검사와 학생 산출물(최종 보고서)를 수행평가 기준표로 평가하여 활용하였다. 학습만족도를 확인하기 위해 설문 검사를 실시하였다. 수집한 자료는 t-검정, 신뢰도 계수 도출 및 내용 분석을 하였다. 결과 첫째, 빅데이터 활용 역량 사전·사후 검사의 대응표본 t-검정 결과 빅데이터 활용 수업 전후에 학습자의 빅데이터 활용 역량에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 학생 산출물(최종 보고서) 평가 결과 학습자의 문제 인식 역량과 프로그래밍 역량에서 높은 점수가 나타났다. 둘째, 학습만족도 설문 검사 결과 학습자는 빅데이터 활용 수업에 높은 학습만족도를 보였다. 이는 빅데이터 활용의 중요성을 인식한 상황에서 새로운 경험을 통해 흥미와 자신감을 얻고 융합적 사고와 협력적 활동이 가능했기 때문이라고 답하였다. 결론 이러한 결과를 근거로 빅데이터 활용 탐구 수업이 학습자의 빅데이터 활용 역량 함양과 학습만족도 향상에 효과적일 수 있음을 논의하고 교육 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of learner competency of using big data and learning satisfaction by designing through the big data-applied inquiry instruction. Methods The big data-applied inquiry-based instruction was designed and implemented for 80 science high school students. The pre- and post-tests were implemented to measure students’ big data utilization competencies. Student final reports were also evaluated based on performance evaluation criteria. Questionnaires were conducted to investigate learning satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed through t-test and content analysis. Results First, there was a statistically significant difference in learners big data utilization competencies before and after the big data utilization class as a result of the pre- and post-test. As a result of evaluating the student output (final reports), high scores were found in the area of learner s problem recognition competency and programming competency. Second, as a result of the learning satisfaction survey, learners showed high learning satisfaction in classes. They answered that this was because they gained interest and confidence through new experiences and that convergent thinking, and cooperative activities were possible in a situation where they recognized the importance of using big data. Conclusions Based on these results it was discussed that big data utilization inquiry classes can be effective in cultivating learners competencies to use big data and improving learning satisfaction.
