국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 미국과 한국의 학교상담 윤리강령을 비교 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 한국의 상황에 적합한 윤리강령을 규정할 수 있도록 보완 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 미국의 학교상담 윤리강령은 미국학교상담자협회 홈페이지에서 수집하였고 한국의 학교상담 윤리강령은 학교상담학회 홈페이지에서 수집하였다. 한국과 미국의 학교상담 윤리강령의 비교는 크게 윤리강령의 체제 측면과 내용(서문과 본문) 측면, 적용대상, 접근성 및 가독성 측면에서 이루어졌다. 결과 분석 결과 한국의 학교상담 윤리강령은 시대의 변화에 따른 윤리적 요구를 반영하여 개정할 필요가 있는데, 학생에 대한 책임을 구체화하고, 적용대상을 명료화해야 하며, 접근성, 가독성 등을 높이려는 노력이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 윤리강령의 제정 주체에 대한 적정성을 검토할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 학교상담의 질적 성장을 위한 표준화와 제도화 노력이 선행되어야 하고 이를 바탕으로 학교상담 윤리강령을 제정하되, 학교상담 윤리강령의 적용대상을 명확하게 규정하고 대상자별로 각자의 책임을 명세화하며 이들이 학교상담 현장에서 자주 직면하는 윤리적 딜레마에 관한 구체적인 실천 지침을 제정해야 한다. 아울러 학교상담 윤리강령의 제정 주체도 교육부나 교육당국이 되어야 하고 이에 대한 접근성과 가독성을 높이려는 노력이 요구된다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to present supplementary measures to compare and analyze the code of ethics for school counseling in the United States and Korea and to define the code of ethics suitable for the situation in Korea based on this basis. Methods The American Code of School Counseling Ethics was collected on the website of the American School Counseling Association, and the Korean Code of School Counseling Ethics was collected on the website of the School Counseling Association. The comparison of the code of ethics for school counseling between Korea and the United States was largely made in terms of the system and content (preface and text) of the code of ethics, application targets, accessibility, and readability. Results As a result of the analysis, it was found that Korea s Code of Ethics for School Counseling needs to be revised to reflect ethical needs according to the changes of the times, and efforts to clarify the responsibilities for students, clarify the targets of application, and increase accessibility and readability. In addition, it was found that it was necessary to review the appropriateness of the subject of enacting the code of ethics. Conclusions Standardization and institutionalization efforts for the qualitative growth of school counseling should be preceded, and based on this, school counseling ethics codes should be clearly defined, responsibilities should be specified for each subject, and specific practical guidelines for ethical dilemmas they often face in school counseling sites. In addition, the subject of enacting the Code of Ethics for School Counseling should be the Ministry of Education or the educational authorities, and efforts to increase accessibility and readability are required.
