부모의 양육태도와 삶의 만족도가 초등학생 자녀의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 아동의 자아존중감의 매개역할을 통해 자녀가 지각한 부모의 양육태도, 부모의 삶의 만족도가 자녀의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향의 구조적 관계를 탐색하고, 변인 간의 직·간접적 효과를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원이 실시한 한국아동·청소년 패널조사(KCYPS) 중 2차년도(2019년) 초등학교 5학년 패널자료 자녀와 부모 총 2,372쌍의 응답을 분석에 사용하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 26.0과 Mplus 8.4를 활용하여 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였으며, 매개효과의 통계적 유의성을 검증하기 위해 붓스트레핑을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 부모의 삶의 만족도는 자녀의 삶의 만족도에 직접적인 정적영향을 미쳤지만, 자녀가 지각한 부모의 양육태도는 자녀의 삶의 만족도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 자녀가 지각한 부모의 양육태도는 아동의 자아존중감에 유의한 정적영향을 미쳤지만, 부모의 삶의 만족도는 아동의 자아존중감에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 매개변인인 아동의 자아존중감은 자녀의 삶의 만족도에 유의한 정적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 자녀가 지각한 부모의 양육태도가 자녀의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 아동의 자아존중감의 완전매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 이러한 주요 연구결과를 바탕으로 부모의 양육태도와 아동의 자아존중감 증진을 통해 초등학생 자녀의 삶의 만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안과 필요성을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore the structural relationship of the effect of parents parenting attitude and parents’ life satisfaction between children’ life satisfaction through the mediating effect of the children’s self-esteem of elementary school children, and analyze the direct and indirect effects between variables. Methods For this purpose, the 2019 survey data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS 2018) were used, and 2,372 parents and their children for the 5th grade at elementary school were selected for the study. The structural equation modeling was applied to the dataset. Results The main results of the study are as follows: First, the life satisfaction level of the parents had a direct and static effect on the satisfaction of children’s life. Still, the parental attitude which children perceived had no significant impact. Secondly, the parental attitudes perceived by children had a significant static effect on the children’s self-esteem. Still, the satisfaction of parent’s life did not significantly affect the children’s self-esteem. Thirdly, the self-esteem of children, which is a parameter variable, had a significant static effect on the life satisfaction of children. Fourth, the children’s self-esteem had a completely mediating effect between parenting attitude and children’s life satisfaction. Conclusions Based on these main results, the need and strategies for enhancing the Life Satisfaction of the children through positive parental attitudes and self-esteem were suggested.
