국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 지각된 어머니의 심리적 통제가 대학생의 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 이 과정에서 사회부과 완벽주의, 자기격려의 순차적 매개효과를 이해하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 남녀 대학생 301명을 대상으로 어머니의 심리적 통제, 사회부과 완벽주의, 자기격려, 사회불안에 대한 자기보고식 평가 질문지를 실시하였으며, 수집한 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 통해 척도의 신뢰도 분석과 기술통계 및 상관분석을, Mplus 7.0을 이용하여 변인 간 구조적 관계를 살펴보기 위한 매개효과 검증을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 어머니의 심리적 통제, 사회부과 완벽주의, 사회불안은 정적 상관을 보였고, 자존감은 다른 변인들과 부적 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 심리적 통제가 사회부과 완벽주의와 자기격려를 순차적으로 완전매개하여 사회불안에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 사회부과 완벽주의와 자기격려의 개별매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 어머니의 심리적 통제와 사회불안의 관계에서 사회부과 완벽주의의 매개효과는 유의한 반면, 자기격려의 매개효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 결론 어머니의 심리적 통제는 간접적으로 사회부과 완벽주의를 증가시켜 자기격려를 감소시킴으로써 사회불안에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 중요 발달과업 시각에서 대학생들의 사회불안을 낮추기 위해서는 어머니로부터의 정서적인 독립을 이루고 자신의 자율성을 획득할 수 있는 준비가 필요하며, 상담 장면에서 부모의 영향에 대한 이해와 자기격려를 할 수 있는 교육이 중요함을 제안하였으며, 마지막으로 후속 연구를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This research aimed to identify the mediation effect of socially prescribed perfectionism and sel-encouragement in process of confirmation for the effect of maternal psychological control on social anxiety of university students. Methods To verify the purpose of this research, self-assessment questionnaires were conducted for three hundred one university students (males and females). The collected data was utilized to analyze the reliability of the scale, the descriptive statistics, and the correlation by SPSS 21.0 and mediating effects to understand structural relationships among variables by Mplus 7.0 Results The result Firstly, the positive correlation seems to be found among maternal psychological control, socially prescribed perfectionism, and the social anxiety of university students. Self-esteem may have a negative correlation with other variables. Secondly, it was confirmed that maternal psychological control could affect social anxiety, in form of full mediation, through socially prescribed perfectionism and self-encouragement successively. Thirdly, it has shown, for idiosyncratic correlation between socially prescribed perfectionism and self-encouragement, that socially prescribed perfectionism may affect maternal psychological control and social anxiety, and self-encouragement does not do so. Conclusions The result it is verified that maternal psychological control affects social anxiety by improving socially prescribed perfectionism and reducing self-encouragement indirectly. Based on this result, this research has asserted that for university students it is important to be educated in order to induce self-encouragement and understand the influence of parents in counseling and it is necessary to be prepared for achieving autonomy and emotional independence from maternity to reduce the social anxiety for university students in the view of major development tasks, along with suggesting further study.
