육군K사관학교 성인지교육의 효과에 관한 혼합연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 사관학교 성인지교육의 효과를 Kirkpatrick의 4수준 평가모형에 따라서 그 효과성을 평가하고 개선방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 육군 K사관학교 생도 125명을 대상으로 양적연구와 질적연구 방법을 함께 적용하는 삼각법(triangulation)에 의한 혼합연구를 실시했다. 결과 첫째, 성인지교육의 효과성 인식에는 성별에 따른 유의미한 차이가 있다. 양적연구의 카이자승 검증을 통해서 나타난 바와 같이 여생도는 남생도보다 성인지 교육의 만족도(느낌), 학업성취(학습), 실천도(현업적용), 정책적 기여도(성과) 예상 등 네 가지 항목에서 모두 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 뿐만 아니라 질적연구 자료를 분석한 결과 성인지 교육의 발전방안에 대해서 남생도는 주로 교육내용, 발표주제, 강사의 관점 등에 대한 문제 제기 및 발전제안을 나타냈지만, 여생도의 경우 교육환경 및 평가방식의 개선을 제안했다. 둘째, 성인지교육의 만족도에 따라서 학업성취, 성인지 실천도, 정책적 기여도 예상 등에서 유의미한 차이가 있다. 결론 성인지 교육에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 학업성취, 실천도, 정책적 기여도 예상에서 유의미하게 더 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 질적분석 결과 성인지 교육에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 보인 생도일수록 과목에 대한 관심과 학습열의가 높았다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the military academy s gender sensitivity education based on the Kirkpatrick s four-level evaluation model and to present improvement measure. Methods For the research purpose, a mixed method study was conducted to 75 cadets of the K-Military Academy using triangulation method, which applies both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Results The result of the analysis of the results from the two methods of study is as follows: First, there are significant gender differences in the recognition of the effectiveness of gender-sensitive education. Second, there are significant differences in academic achievement, gender awareness practice, and policy contributions depending on the satisfaction level of gender sensitivity education. Third, the present gender awareness education needs to be improved in a balanced way in content, in a way that increases the theoretical lectures and reduces the proportion of presentation/discussion. Conclusions In terms of the educational environment, it is necessary to reduce the size of the teaching class from the present and conduct in-depth discussions with various topics in a small group. The professors in charge should also create an acceptable atmosphere for cadets to raise their opinions from various perspectives.
