유소년부터 노년까지, 체조 페스티벌 참여 경험에 관한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 다양한 세대가 팀을 이뤄 체조 페스티벌에 참여한 사례를 통해 참여 경험의 의미를 사회적 맥락에서 이해하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법 이를 위하여 2019년도에 연세대학교에서 개최된 ‘Active-aging 건강운동 페스티벌’ 참여자 중 유소년⋅청년⋅장년⋅노년 참여자를 대상으로 심층면담을 기반으로 한 질적 사례연구를 수행하였다. 참여자들의 체조 페스티벌 경험의 의미를 이해하기 위해 이를 참여 과정에 따라 분석하였다. 결과 ‘체조 페스티벌’이라는 행사를 기준으로 이를 준비하는 과정과 현장에서 참여한 이야기 그리고 참여 이후의 소감으로 구분하여 그 의미를 해석하였다. ‘페스티벌 준비과정’은 ‘한데 모이기’, ‘함께 연습하기’, ‘익숙해지기’ 범주로 구분되었으며, ‘페스티벌 진행 이야기’는 ‘현장 연습’, ‘다른 팀 구경하기’, ‘무대 위에서’로 대표되었다. ‘페스티벌이 끝나고’는 ‘다시 만난 공연 이야기’, ‘아쉬움과 의지’로 분석되었다. 결론 페스티벌 참여 경험은 연구 참여자들의 특별한 경험⋅새로운 발견⋅긍정적 변화⋅정신적 성장을 이끌어 낸 ‘기회’가 되었으며, ‘다양한 세대’가 함께 ‘페스티벌’ 형식의 행사에 참여한 경험이 이와 같은 결과에 보다 좋은 영향력을 행사한 원인이 되었음을 확인하였다. 이를 토대로 체조페스티벌과 같은 행사에 참여하는 것에 대한 의미 및 정기적인 대회 개최의 필요성을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of participation experiences through examples of various generations participating in a health exercise festival as a team. Methods Therefore, this study conducted a qualitative case study based on in-depth interviews targeting the children/youth/adults/elderly participants of the ‘Active-aging Health Exercise Festival’ held at Yonsei University in 2019. Results In order to understand the meaning of the participants experience in the exercise festival, this was analyzed according to the participation process. Based on the event called ‘exercise festival’, it is divided into the process of preparing it, the story of participation in the field, and the impressions after the participation, and it is composed of three categories: ‘festival preparation process’, ‘festival progress story’, and ‘after the festival is over’, and its meaning is interpreted. Conclusions In conclusion, it was confirmed that the experience of participating in the festival became an ‘opportunity’ that led to the special experiences, new discoveries, positive changes, and mental growth of the study participants. In addition, it was confirmed that the experience in which people of “diverse generations” participated in events in the form of “festivals” had a more positive effect on these results. Based on this, the meaning of participating in events such as gymnastics festivals and the necessity of holding regular competitions were discussed.
