배움중심수업과 보편적 학습설계의 비교 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 모든 학생을 위한 수업 혁신 모델인 일반교육에서의 배움중심수업과 특수교육에서의 보편적 학습설계를 비교하고 분석하고자 하였다. 통합교육이 양적으로 확대되고 모든 학생을 위한 질 높은 교육으로 정교화되고 있는 시점에서, 모든 학생의 성장과 배움을 표방하는 두 가지 수업 혁신 모델이 양 분야에서 별개로 진행되는 것에 대해 문제를 제기하고 이를 현장교사들의 실천 경험을 토대로 고찰하고자 하였다. 방법 배움중심수업과 보편적 학습설계 두 접근에 대한 이론적 지식과 실제적인 적용 경험을 가지고 있는 총 6명의 일반교사와 특수교사를 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 녹취된 면담자료를 전사한 후 지속적 비교분석법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 배움중심수업과 보편적 학습설계의 공통 요소, 차이점, 두 모델이 모든 학생을 위한 수업 혁신에 기여하는 요소, 모든 학생을 위한 수업을 효과적으로 실행하기 위한 전제 조건 등을 포함하는 4개의 대주제와 15개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 결론 특수교육대상 학생을 포함한 모든 학생을 위한 수업 혁신이 성공적으로 실행되기 위한 논의 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to compare and contrast the learning oriented class in general education and universal design for learning (UDL) in special education, which are instructional innovation frameworks for teaching all students. At this point of when inclusive education is quantitatively expanded and refined into high-quality education for all students, this study raised the question of why the two instructional innovations that advocate the growth and learning of all students have been separately conducted in both special education and general education fields, and examined this question based on the practical experiences of in-service teachers. Methods To this end, in-depth personal interviews were conducted for a total of 6 general education and special education teachers who have theoretical knowledge and practical experiences on both learning oriented class and UDL. After transcribing the recorded interview data, it was analyzed using a continuous comparative analysis method. Results As a result of analyzing the interview transcription, 4 major themes and 15 sub-themes were derived, including the commonalities and differences between learning oriented class and UDL, contributing factors to instructional innovation for all students, and prerequisites for effective instructional implementation to facilitate meaningful learning for all students. Conclusions Based on these findings, discussions and suggestions for further studies were discussed to successfully implement instructional innovation for all students including students with disabilities.
