국문 초록

1931년 9월 18일 항일전쟁이 본격적으로 시작되었다. 따라서 당시 항전 가곡의 유행은 당연한 듯 널리 퍼졌고, 항전 가요이 사회 전체에 확산하는 현상이 발생하였다. 항전 가요의 유행은 군인과 민중으로 구성된 튼실한 기반을 갖게 되었을 뿐 아니라 전국적으로 매우 거대한 영향력을 미쳤다. 특히 1938-1940년 동안 항일전쟁이 더욱 가열화 되면서 전쟁 승리에 대한 사람들의 갈망이 새로운 경지의 수준까지 높아지게 되었다. 연구 초반 연구자는 항일구국가요의 선율을 분석하면서 항일구국가곡만의 핵심적인 특징을 찾고자 하였다. 그러나 문헌자료, 조사 및 분석을 통해 당시의 음악 시설이 매우 부족하다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 피아노, 손풍금은 물론 녹음된 가곡도 없었다. 전달자가 한 구절을 부르면 다른 사람이 한 구절을 따라 부르는 형식으로 오직 구전으로만 가곡이 전달되었던 것이다. 따라서 당시의 항일구국가곡은 오랜 시간 동안 대규모로 전국 각지에서 퍼질 수 있었다, 일반적으로 사람들은 가사를 먼저 접한 뒤에 선율을 알게 되었다. 이 역시 항일구국가곡 가사에 대한 연구가 얼마나 중요한지 보여준다.

영문 초록

The war against Japan officially began on September 14, 1931. Consequently, the popularity of anti-war songs was rightly widespread at the time, and the phenomenon took the whole society by storm. The popularity of anti-war songs had a solid base consisting of soldiers and people and a huge impact throughout the country, especially between 1938 and 1940, when the war became more heated, and people s desire to win reached a new level. At the beginning of the study, researchers analyzed the melodies of old anti-Japanese national songs to identify their core features. However, through documentation, research, and analysis, it became clear that the musical facilities of that time were inadequate. Not only were there no pianos or accordions, songs were not even recorded. The songs’ form was such that if the communicator sang a line, the others sang a line after it. Consequently, anti-Japanese salvation songs could be spread throughout the country on a large scale for a long time, and generally speaking, people were exposed to the lyrics before they knew the melody. This also shows how important it is to study the lyrics of anti-Japanese songs.
