국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중국 내에서 한국의 대학교에 진학하고자 하는 예비 유학생 대상 도구적 학문 목적 한국어 말하기와 쓰기 교육에 대한 요구 분석을 실시하였다. 중국 내 예비 유학생과 한국 대학교의 학부 과정에 재학 중인 중국어권 학습자 80명을 대상으로 중국에서의 한국 대학 입학 준비를 위한 교육 과정이 실제 한국 대학교에서 필요로 하는 학업 기술을 얼마나 많이 반영하고 있는지를 알아보고 예비 유학생들에게 필요한 학문 목적 한국어 말하기 쓰기 학업 기술은 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 설문 조사 결과 예비 유학생과 학부 유학생은 한국과 중국 대학교의 학업 방식에 차이가 있다고 인식하였으며 중국 내에서는 발표, 토론, 보고서 쓰기, 시험 답안 쓰기 등 다양한 학업 기술을 학습하지 못하는 경우가 많다고 하였다. 학문 목적 말하기 교육에 대한 요구 분석 결과 ‘학교생활에 대한 말하기’에 대한 요구를 확인할 수 있었으며 설문 항목의 학문 목적 말하기 기술에 대해 고른 요구도를 보였다. 학문 목적 쓰기 교육에서는 보고서 쓰기, 발표 자료의 제작, 시험 답안 작성하기에 대한 요구를 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 예비 유학생의 낮은 숙달도에 맞는 학문 목적 한국어 말하기․쓰기 교육 과정의 설계, 한국의 대학 문화와 관련된 주제 학습, 발표 자료 제작에 관한 수업 제공, 학문 목적 한국어 동영상 수업의 제공 등을 제언하였다. 중국 내 예비 유학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 중국 내 도구적 학문 목적 말하기 쓰기 교육에 대한 현지 상황을 파악하고 국내 대학 진학 후 학업 수행에 필요한 구체적인 학문 목적 말하기 쓰기 학업기술 항목을 분석하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study conducted a needs analysis for Korean speaking and writing education for instrumental academic purposes, focusing on prospective students of Korean universities in China. Looking at 80 Chinese-speaking students in China and undergraduate students at Korean universities, we examined how much the curriculum reflects the academic skills required by Korean universities in China. According to the survey, prospective students and undergraduate students recognized differences in the way Korean and Chinese universities study. In China, they often fail to learn various academic skills such as presentation, discussion, report writing, and test answers. The analysis of the demand for education for academic speaking confirmed the demand for “speaking about school life” and showed a demand for speaking skills for academic purposes in the survey items. Writing training for academic purposes identified demands for writing reports, producing presentation materials, and writing test answers. Therefore, this study proposed the design of a Korean language speaking and writing curriculum suitable for the low proficiency of prospective international students. The study is meaningful in that it conducted a survey of prospective international students in China to understand the local situation of instrumental academic speaking and writing education in China and analyzed specific academic speaking and writing skills items necessary for academic performance after entering domestic universities.
