대학생의 정서지능이 다문화 태도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 정서지능, 다문화 태도 및 다문화 감수성의 관계를 알아보고 정서지능과 다문화 태도 간의 관계에서 다문화 감수성의 매개 효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 N시와 D시에 소재한 대학의 학생 239명이었다. 다문화 관련 교과를 경험한 학생 비율이 경험하지 못한 학생들 보다 낮았고 비교과 역시 경험이 없는 학생들의 비율이 높게 나타났다. 즉 학생들 대부분은 다문화 교과 및 비교과의 경험이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과 분석은 기술통계, pearson 적률상관관계, 그리고 spss process macro의 model 4를 이용하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 정서지능, 다문화 태도 그리고 다문화 감수성은 정적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 다문화 감수성은 정서지능과 다문화 태도 간의 관계에서 의미 있는 매개효과를 나타냈다. 이에 다문화 감수성을 증진시키기 위해서는 다양한 교수방법의 활용 및 지속적이고 장기적인 교육 프로그램의 개발 및 실행이 필요함을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점 및 추후 연구 방향을 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate the relationships between university students’emotional intelligence, attitude on multiculture, and multiculture sensitivity how and emotional intelligence affects attitude on multiculture in a Multicultural society. Also, it aimed to study the mediating effects between emotional intelligence and attitude on multiculture. The total number of student participants was 239. First, variable reliability, descriptive statistics, and Pearson correlation was calculated. Then, spss process macro model 4 was used to verify mediating effects. The results show that first, university students‘emotional intelligence, attitude on multiculture, and multiculture sensitivity showed significantly positive correlation. Second, multiculture sensitivity showed significantly positive mediating effects on emotional intelligence and attitude on multiculture. Therefore, to develop multiculture sensitivity, development and production diverse teaching method and continuous long-term education programs is needed. This study is important because it shows that emotional intelligence and multiculture sensitivity shows significantly positive effects on attitude on multiculture. There must be further continuous researches on influences of multiculture education programs.
