국문 초록

이 연구에서는 교육과정과 상담체계를 종합적으로 관리하는 대학 자체교육인증제도의 교육성과로써 상담에 대한 효과성을 알아보기 위하여, 인증단계, 성별, 학년에 따른 대학생의 상담 참여도, 만족도, 인식을 비교하였다. 본 연구는 재학생 만족도 및 인식조사에 응답한 1,957명을 대상으로 양적 분석과 질적 분석 결과를 비교하는 혼합방법을 활용하였다. 그 결과, 상담체계를 구축한 예비인증 및 본인증 학과 학생들의 상담 참여도 및 만족도가 기초인증 학과 학생보다 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 여학생은 남학생보다 상담 참여도는 낮지만, 다양한 상담 창구를 통한 상담 기회 확대에 대한 요구가 강한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 본 연구에서는 상담 참여도 및 만족도에 있어 학년별 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 신입생이 고학년에 비해 상담 기회가 적은 반면, 전반적인 상담, 학업상담, 대학생활 관련 상담에 대한 만족도가 고학년에 비해 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과는 대학의 자체인증제를 통해 정규 교육과정 및 상담체계를 종합적으로 관리함이 대학생의 상담참여 및 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것을 보여주었다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾아볼 수 있다. 본 연구가 교원들에게 상담지원 기초자료 및 상담/지도 방향 설정에 활용되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of the university self-accreditation system on counseling by examining differences in counseling participation, satisfaction, and perspectives by accreditation level, gender, and grade. The data of 1,957 undergraduates who participated in a student satisfaction and perception survey was examined by using a mixedmethods triangulation design approach. Results showed that participation and satisfaction of students in preliminary and main accreditation level departments that had established a counseling system were higher than those of basic accreditation level department students. Furthermore, while female respondents had participated less in counseling than males, they had a higher demand for expanded counseling opportunities through diverse types of counseling programs. Third, while freshmen had fewer counseling opportunities than seniors, they showed higher satisfaction with overall counseling, academic counseling, and counseling related to college life. The significance of this study lies in showing that a system that comprehensively manages the regular curriculum as well as the counseling system has an effect on college students’ counseling participation and satisfaction. This study will be of value to faculty who need counseling support materials when setting counseling/academic advising directions.
