국문 초록

이 논문은 일상대화에 나타난 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 의미를 한국어 교육적 관점에서 분류하고그 빈도와 의미별 특징을 밝히는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 세종구어말뭉치 중 일상대화 말뭉치23,675어절을 대상으로 연결어미‘-는데’의 용례를 추출하여 빈도와 의미별 특징을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 연결어미 ‘-는데’는 [정보 설명에 앞서 그 배경 또는 상황 제시(49.2%)]> [대조되는내용 설명에 앞서 그 배경 또는 상황 제시(17.4%)]> [기대에 어긋나는 내용 설명에 앞서 그 배경또는 상황 제시(12.1%)]> [후행절 사태에 앞서 시공간적 배경이나 상황 제시(8.7%)]> [후행절사태의 근거가 되는 그 배경 또는 상황 제시(4.5%)]> [명령, 제안, 질문에 앞서 그 배경 또는상황 제시(3.1%)]’로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과로 일상대화에서의 ‘-는데’의 중심 의미는 [정보 설명에 앞서 그 배경 또는상황제시]이며, [후행절 사태에 앞서 시공간적 배경이나 상황 제시],[후행절 사태의 근거가 되는그 배경 또는 상황 제시]등의 의미도 일상대화에서 적지 않은 빈도로 사용되고 있음이 확인되었다. 또한 ‘-는데’가 [대조되는 내용 설명에 앞서 그 배경 또는 상황 제시]로 쓰이는 경우, ‘-지만’ 과 교체되어 쓰이지 못하는 경우가 ‘-지만’으로 교체되어 쓰일 수 있는 경우보다 빈도 높게 나타남이 확인되었다. 이 연구 결과는 일상대화에 나타난 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 의미를 한국어 교육적 관점에서 분류하고 빈도를 분석하였으므로 ‘-는데’의 교수 순서의 근거를 마련하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to sort in terms of Korean language education and identify the frequency and characteristic of each meaning of “-neunde,” a conjunctive ending found in daily conversation. In this study, examples of “-neunde,” a conjunctive ending targeting 23,675-word segments of daily conversation corpus among Sejong spoken corpus, were extracted and the frequency and characteristic of the meaning of each of the segments were examined. The analysis showed that a conjunctive ending, “-neunde” is used to: Suggest the background or situation before explaining the information (49.2%) > Suggest the background or situation before explaining contrasting contents (17.4%) > Suggest the background or situation before explaining the contents failing to meet one’s expectation (12.1%) > Suggest the spatiotemporal background or situation before the situation in the following clause (8.7%) > Suggest the background or situation that is the basis of the situation in the following clause (4.5%) > Suggest the background or situation before the order, suggestion, or question (3.1%). It was confirmed that the central meaning of “-neunde” in daily conversation is [Suggest the background or situation before explaining the information] and the meaning of [Suggest spatiotemporal background or situation before the situation in the following clause] and [Suggest the background or situation that is the basis of the situation in the following clause] are used in “not a little frequency” in daily conversation based on this study. In addition, it was confirmed that the case “-jiman” not used as a replacement is shown more frequently than the case “-jiman” used as a replacement where the case “-neunde” is used as [Suggest the background or situation before explaining contrasting contents].The result of this study can be used to prepare the basis of the teaching order of “-neunde” because the meaning of “-neunde,” a conjunctive ending found in daily conversation, was sorted in terms of Korean language education, and the frequency was identified.
