다문화 및 다문화가정의 연구동향에 관한 경향분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 2000년부터 2019년까지 19년 동안 국내에서 수행되어 온 다문화(연관어)연구동향과 다문화가정(연관어)연구동향에 관한 연구들을 분석하여 향후 바람직한 연구방향을 제시하고 연구 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내에서 발표된 석·박사 학위논문 20편과 학술지 논문 61편, 총 81편의 논문을 2020년 1월부터 6월까지 자료수집 및 결과분석을 하였으며, 연구시기, 연구대상 및 연구주제에 따라 연구동향을 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구주제별로 가장 큰 비중을 차지한 것은 다문화교육 연구동향에 관련된 주제였으며, 다음으로 다문화 수용성, 정체성, 감수성 등과 같은 연구동향의 주제를 다룬 논문이었고 이어서 유아발달, 진로, 읽기 등과 미술, 음악 등 예술관련 치료의 연구동향을 주제로 다룬 논문이 같은 순위로 나타났다. 다문화가정의 영재, 부모, 적응을 주제로 다룬 논문이 가장 적었다. 둘째, 연구시기별 동향은 2011년도부터 증가추세를 보이기 시작하다가 2015년도 이후부터는 큰 폭의 연구증가 경향을 나타내었다. 셋째, 연구대상별로는 다문화가정 영·유아, 아동을 대상으로 한 연구동향의 논문이 가장 많았으며, 다음으로 다문화가정 학생, 청소년을 대상으로 한 연구동향의 논문이었고 이어서 다문화가정 또는 다문화가족의 연구동향을 대상으로 한 논문이 많았다. 다문화 교사, 부모, 내담자 등이 가장 적게 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 다문화(연관어)연구동향과 다문화가정(연관어)연구동향에 관한 본 연구의 제한점과 함께 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This paper analyzes and considers the trends of research on multiculturalism and multicultural families that have been conducted in South Korea over the past 19 years from 2000 to 2019. On this basis, the paper aims to suggest desirable future directions for research while providing foundational data to promote future research. Thus, between January and June of 2020, we gathered and selected 20 doctoral and master’s thesis and 61 academic articles published in South Korea, for a total of 81 papers. Subsequently, we analyzed research trends according to study periods, subjects, and topics. Our findings were as follows. First, for research topics, the most prominent topic was multicultural education, followed by papers that dealt with topics such as the acceptance of multiculturalism, multicultural identity, and sensitivity to multiculturalism. The next most prominent topic was early childhood development, career path, reading, and other research trends on art therapy, such as art, music. The least common topic was gifted children, parents and adaptation of multicultural families. Second, for research trends according to research period, papers related to multiculturalism first began to shown an increase in 2011 and a sharp increase since 2015. Third, for research subjects, most papers targeted infants, young children and children, followed by papers targeting students and adolescents of multicultural families, and, finally, papers that targeted multicultural families. The least common research subjects were teachers of multiculturalism as well as multicultural parents and counselees. Papers that targeted non-human subjects such as multicultural education, multicultural counseling, and multiculturalism were at a similar level to papers that targeted human subjects. Based on our findings, we clarify the limitations of this investigation on research trends on multiculturalism and multicultural families while also making suggestions for future research.
