유아의 기질이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 기질 및 또래유능성과 정서지능의 상관관계를 분석하고 기질이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향에 있어 정서지능이 가지는 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상으로 G지역 만 5세 유아 208명을 선정하였고, 유아의 기질, 또래유능성, 그리고 정서지능에 관한 조사를 실시하였다. 조사한 자료들은 SPSS 22.0프로그램을 사용하였으며, Pearson 상관관계분석과 다중회귀분석, 그리고 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 적응성 기질 및 또래유능성과 정서지능은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 적응성 기질 중 적응성은 또래유능성을 의미 있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 이 과정에서 정서지능이 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아의 또래유능성 발달을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

영문 초록

As young children sociality is emphasized, interest in peer competence is increasing. The study suggested the correlation of temperament, peer competence and emotional intelligence in young children and the mediation effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between temperament and peer competence. The subjects of this study were 208 5 - year - old infants in the G region, and their young children temperament, peer competence, and emotional intelligence were investigated. Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and Sobel test were performed using the SPSS 22.0 program. The results were as follows: First, the temperament and the peer competence and the emotional intelligence of the young children showed a statistically significant positive correlation. Second, temperament was an important factor in predicting peer competence of young children, and emotional intelligence had a mediating effect on the relationship between temperament and peer competence. These results suggest that young children’s temperament and emotion intelligence in relation to their peer competence should be addressed in childhood education classrooms.
