청소년과 어머니의 자아존중감, 그릿 및 삶의 만족 간 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년과 어머니의 자아존중감, 그릿 및 삶의 만족이 어떠한 구조적 관계를 가지는지 상호 영향력을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 자기-상대방 상호의존 모형(APIM)을 적용한 결과 첫째, 자아존중감이 삶의 만족에 미치는 청소년과 어머니의 자기효과가 유의했으며, 자아존중감이 그릿에 미치는 청소년과 어머니의 자기효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 자아존중감이 그릿에 미치는 청소년의 상대방효과가 유의했으며, 그릿이 삶의 만족에 미치는 어머니의 자기효과와 청소년의 상대방효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 등가제약을 가하여 효과 간 차이를 확인한 결과, 자아존중감이 그릿에 이르는 자기효과에서 어머니보다 청소년이 더 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 자아존중감이 삶의 만족에 이르는 자기효과에서 어머니보다 청소년이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 자아존중감이 청소년의 그릿에 이르는 자기효과와 상대방효과에서는 어머니 자아존중감이 청소년 그릿에 미치는 상대방효과보다 청소년 자아존중감이 청소년 그릿에 미치는 자기효과가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 어머니의 자아존중감과 어머니의 삶의 만족 간 관계에서 어머니의 그릿의 부분 매개효과가 유의미했으며, 어머니의 자아존중감과 청소년의 삶의 만족 간 관계에서 어머니의 그릿의 완전 매개효과가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 청소년과 어머니의 자아존중감, 그릿 및 삶의 만족 간 상호관련성을 보다 통합적으로 살펴보았다는 점에서 가족역동적 관계에 대한 이해를 넓혔다. 연구의 의의와 제한점이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to confirm the mutual influence on the structural relationship between self-esteem, grit, and life satisfaction of adolescents and mothers. As a result of applying APIM, first, adolescents and mothers actor-effects of self-esteem on life satisfaction were significant, and the self-esteem was found to have significant actor-effects of adolescents and mothers on grit. In addition, the actor-effects of self-esteem on grit was significant, and the mother s actor-effects and the adolescent s partner-effects on life satisfaction were significant. Second, as a result of examining the difference between the effects by applying the equivalent constraint, first of all, it was found that the positive influence of adolescents was greater than that of mothers in the actor-effects of adolescents and mothers self-esteem on grit. In addition, it was found that the positive influence of adolescents was greater than that of mothers in the actor-effects of adolescents and mothers self-esteem on life satisfaction. In the effect of the self-esteem of adolescents and mothers on adolescents grit, the self-esteem of adolescents had a greater actor-effects on adolescents grit than the partner-effects of mothers self-esteem on adolescents grit. Finally, as a result of examining the mediating effect by applying Bootstrapping, the partial mediating effect of mother s grit was significant in the relationship between mother s self-esteem and mother s life satisfaction. In addition, in the relationship between mother s self-esteem and adolescent s life satisfaction, the complete mediating effect of mother s grit was found to be significant. This study broadened the understanding of family dynamics in that it examined the interrelationships between adolescents and mothers self-esteem, grit, and life satisfaction from a more integrated perspective. The significance and limitations of the study were discussed.
