국문 초록

본 연구는 「유아교과교재연구및지도법」교과 수업에 문제기반학습(PBL)을 적용하고, 효과를 살펴봄으로써, 개정누리과정 이해 및 실천력을 갖춘 유아교사를 양성하기 위한 교수법으로 문제기반학습(PBL)의 가능성을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 2019년 2학기에 본 교과목을 이수한 M전문대학 유아교육학과 2학년 59명이며, 문제기반학습(PBL)을 적용하고, 학습자가 9월과 12월, 두 차례에 걸쳐 작성한 자기평가지, 자기성찰저널 등을 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 Bogdan과 Biklen(2006)이 제시한 자료 분석방법과 Mills(1999)가 제시한 자료 해석 방법에 근거해 분석하였다. 첫째, 학습자는 개정누리과정의 핵심 요소인 유아와 놀이에 초점을 두고, 놀이에 필요한 물리적 지원 방안을 찾고자 노력하였다. 둘째, 문제기반학습(PBL)을 통해 문제해결력, 자기주도성, 도전성, 소통과 협력의 학습역량이 증진되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 문제기반학습(PBL)이 개정누리과정 실천력을 갖춘 유아교사 양성을 위한 의미있는 교수법으로 활용될 가능성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study applied problem-based learning (PBL) to the Teaching Materials and Methods for Young Children course and examined its effects, thereby exploring the possibility of PBL as a teaching method to train early childhood teachers who have the ability to understand and practice the Revised Nuri Curriculum. The participants were 59 second-year students majoring in early childhood education at M College. After applying PBL during the semester, the learners collected twice in September and December, self-assessments, introspective journals. The collected data were analyzed based on the data analysis method presented by Bogdan and Biklen (2006) and the data interpretation method presented by Mills (1999). First, the learners tried to find a method of physical support necessary for play, focusing on young children and play—key elements of the Revised Nuri Curriculum. Second, PBL improved learning competencies such as problem-solving skills, self-directedness, initiative, communication, and cooperation. Therefore, this study implies that PBL is likely to be used as a significant teaching method in training early childhood teachers with executive ability to practice the Revised Nuri Curriculum.
