한국 노년교육학 분야 질적 연구 동향 분석(2000~2019년)

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국 노년교육학 분야에서 2000년부터 2019년 사이에 수행된 질적 연구의 동향을 분석하여 질적 연구의 흐름을 파악하고, 향후 노년교육 연구에 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에 2000년부터 2019년까지 게재된 노년교육학 분야 국내 학술논문 4,655 편중 질적 연구 방법을 적용한 학술논문 101편을 연구 방법과 연구 주제로 구분하여 분석하였다. 연구 방법 분석 결과, 연구 참여자는 여성과 남성을 포함한 노인(71.3%)이 가장 많았고, 연구 유형은 생애사(23.8%)가, 자료수집 방법은 개별 면담(67.3%)이, 자료분석 방법은 반복적 비교 분석법(22.8%)이 가장 많이 적용되었다. 연구 주제를 분석한 결과, 범주는 노인교육 프로그램 연구와 학습 경험 및 학습 의미 연구가 각각 39.6% 동비율이었다. 노인교육과 노인학습경험의 의미는 주체성 회복, 자아통합 및 사회공헌으로 드러났다. 제언으로는 질적 연구 시 연구 절차와 연구 방법에 대한 상세한 기술이 필요하고, 노년교육 질적 연구 유형의 편중성을 지양해야 하며, 연구 주제에 대한 세부적인 내용 분석 연구가 필요함을 논의하였다. 향후 노년교육 질적 연구의 발전을 위해서 다양한 노년층의 삶의 경험과 의미를 탐색하는 질적 연구가 더욱 확대되어야 한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the trend of qualitative research conducted on educational gerontology in Korea between 2000 to 2019, identify the trends and to suggest the implications for future research on educational gerontology. For this purpose, the 101 research papers that utilize qualitative research method out of the 4,655 domestic academic research papers in the field of educational gerontology published to Research Information Sharing Service(RISS) between 2000 and 2019 were categorized depending on the research method and research topic for analysis. The result of the analysis of the research method showed that the study participants were mostly elderly (71.3%) including women and men, life history (23.8%) was the most frequent research type, the individual interview method (67.3%) was the most frequently used data collection method, and constant comparison method (22.8%) was the most frequently used data analysis method. The result of the analysis of research topics revealed the category of older adults education program research and the category of learning experience and semantic research each respectively having 39.6% same ratio. The significance of the education for older adults and the experience of learning for older adults was identified as the restoration of identity, self-integration and social contribution. As a suggestion, it was discussed that a detailed description of research procedures and research methods is required for qualitative research, the bias of qualitative research types in educational gerontology should be avoided, and detailed content analysis research on research topics is needed. It has been discussed that in order to promote the qualitative research on educational gerontology in future, qualitative research exploring the experiences.
