간호대학생의 사전연명의료의향서 관련 지식, 태도와 연명의료중단 태도

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 사전연명의료의향서 관련 지식, 태도와 연명의료중단 태도 정도를 확인하고 각 변수간의 관계를 알아보기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 2개 대학교 간호대학생 192명을 대상으로 하였으며, 구조화 된 설문지를 사용하여 2019년 12월 12일부터 21일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 26.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson s correlation으로 하였다. 연구 결과 간호대학생의 사전연명의료의향서 관련 지식은 9점 만점에 7.06점, 태도는 4점 만점에 3.06점, 연명의료중단 태도는 5점 만점에 3.29점으로 나타났다. 사전연명의료의향서 관련 지식은 사전연명의료의향서 태도(r=.69, p=<.001)와 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었으며, 사전연명의료의향서 태도는 연명의료중단 태도(r=.31, p<.001)와 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 간호대학생의 연명의료중단 태도를 향상시키기 위해서는 사전연명의료의향서에 대한 긍정적 태도를 함양할 수 있는 효율적인 교육프로그램 개발이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between knowledge, attitude toward advance directives and toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment in nursing students. The data were collected through self-reported questionnaires from 192 students at two schools of nursing, located in G city, from December 12 to December 21, 2019. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26 program. by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The mean scores for knowledge, attitude toward advance directives were 7.06/9.0 and 3.06/4.0, and for attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment, 3.29/5.0. There was significant positive correlation between knowledge and attitude toward advance directives(r=.69, p=<.001). Attitude toward advance directives and toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment(r=.31, p<.001) also showed a significant positive correlation. The results of this study, in order to improve the nursing students’ attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment, it is necessary to educate the right knowledge of advance directives and develop effective nursing ethic educational programs for nursing students.
