국문 초록

본 연구에서는 기존 교과서 위주의 설명식 일제 수업을 지양하고 학습동기 모델인 ARCS 모형을 적용한 수업을 위하여 학생들의 수준을 고려하여 교수ㆍ학습 자료를 개발한다. 그리고 개발한 자료를 실제 수업에 2∼3개월 동안 적용함으로써 학생들의 수학적 태도를 긍정적인 방향으로 개선하기 위한 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 연구문제를 구체적으로 아래와 같이 설정하였다. 첫째 ARCS 모형을 적용한 수업이 학생들의 학습동기와 수학적 성향에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 조사하였다. 둘째, ARCS 모형을 적용한 수업에 따른 교수ㆍ학습 자료를 활용한 후 학생들의 반응을 조사하였다. 연구결과 ARCS 모형을 적용한 수업이 학생들의 학습동기와 수학적 성향에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 그리고 본 연구에서 분석해 보니 학생들의 반응은 부정적인 반응과 긍정적인 반응이 있었다. 대체적으로 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 그러나 일부 학생들에게서는 부정적인 반응도 있었다.

영문 초록

In this study, we developed the teaching and learning materials by considering the learner s level based on ARCS model which was a learning motivation model. And we also manufactured teaching and learning models utilized effectively in class. After it was applied for two to three months in an actual class of students, we analysed the improvement on the positive attitudes toward mathematics. The particular problems of interest in this research were as follows: First, we considered how we would develop the teaching and learning materials following ARCS model. Second, we considered how we would use teaching and learning models in order to effectively use teaching and learning resources. Third, how we would apply the model to the actual class of manufactured teaching and learning material in order to improve the positive attitudes about mathematics? The results of the study showed that the lessons using the ARCS model had a positive effect on the learning motivation and the mathematical disposition of the learners. In this study, students reactions were divided into negative responses and positive responses. Generally, it showed a positive response. However, there were negative reactions from some students.
