간호대학생의 정신건강정보이해능력과 인권감수성이 정신장애인에 대한 사회적 거리감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 정신건강정보이해능력과 인권감수성이 정신장애인에 대한 사회적 거리감에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 서울특별시와 경기도 소재의 5개 대학에 재학중인 간호대학생 208명을 모집하였으며, 자료수집은 2019년 5월 28일부터 6월 11까지 자기기입식 설문지를 이용하여 수집하였다. 본 연구결과, 정신건강정보이해능력은 16점 만점에 11.50점, 인권감수성은 75점 만점에 55.03점, 사회적 거리감은 40점 만점에 23.85점이었으며, 사회적 거리감에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 인권감수성(β=.301, p<.01), 정신질환 교육경험(β=306, p<.01), 정신건강정보이해능력(β=125, p=.05)으로 확인되어 전체 설명력은 19.5%로 나타났다. 이에 정신장애인에 대한 사회적 거리감을 완화시키기 위해서는 간호대학생의 정신건강정보이해능력과 인권감수성을 향상시키고 체계적인 교육 전략과 교육 프로그램을 개발하여 적용할 것을 제언한다.

영문 초록

This study was to investigate the effects of mental health literacy and human rights sensitivity of nursing students on social distance in people with mental disorders. The participants comprised 208 nursing students from 5 universities located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires from May to June 2019. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Independent t-tests, Pearson s correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. As a result of this study, mental health literacy was 11.50 out of 16, human rights sensitivity was 55.03 out of 75, and social distancing was 23.85 out of 40. The factors affecting social distance were human rights sensitivity (β=.301, p<.01), mental illness education experience (β=306, p<.01), and mental health literacy (β=125, p=.05); the explanatory power of the model was 19.5%. Therefore, in order to alleviate social distance towards people with mental disorders, it is necessary to improve mental health literacy and human rights sensitivity of nursing students, and the systematic education strategy and education program should be developed and applied.
