부적응적 완벽주의와 학업지연행동의 관계: 자기자비의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 6학년 학생의 부적응적 완벽주의와 학업지연행동의 관계에서 자기자비의 매개효과를 확인하는 데 있다. 이 연구목적을 위한 연구대상은 서울·경기 지역에 소재한 12개 초등학교 6학년 412명이었으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0과 AMOS 21.0을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 6학년 학생의 부적응적 완벽주의, 학업지연행동 및 자기자비 간의 상관관계는 모두 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 6학년 학생의 자기자비는 부적응적 완벽 주의와 학업지연행동을 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 학업지 연행동에 대한 부적응적 완벽주의의 직접적인 영향뿐만 아니라 자기자비를 통한 간접적인 영향을 밝힌 것이다. 따라서 초등학교 고학년 대상의 학업지연행동 예방 프로그램을 구성할 때 부적응적 완벽주의 외에 자기자비의 매개과정을 고려할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of self-compassion on the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and academic procrastination. We administered the instruments to measure maladaptive perfectionism, academic procrastination, and self-compassion to 434 6th grade students from 11 elementary schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. This study analyzed 412 data finally collected using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 21.0. In order to examine the significance of mediation effects, this study used the bootstrapping. The findings were as follows. First, there were significant correlations among maladaptive perfectionism, academic procrastination, and self-compassion. Second, self-compassion had significant partial mediation effect on the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and academic procrastination. These results imply not only the direct effects of maladaptive perfectionism on academic procrastination, but also the indirect effects of self-compassion. Therefore, it is required to consider the mediating process of self-compassion besides maladaptive perfectionism in developing program reducing elementary school students academic procrastination.
