학부모 학교참여 휴가제 도입에 관한 학부모의 인식연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학부모 학교참여 휴가제 도입을 위한 시사점을 얻기 위해 학부모들의 학교참여 현황 및 학교참여 휴가제에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 조사 대상은 경기도 지역 유·초·중·고등학교의 학부모 12,000명으로 SPSS Statistics 28.0 프로그램을 활용하여 문항별 빈도분석, 기술통계, 교차분석 분석결과를 요약하였다. 또한 학부모 학교참여 휴가제에 대한 기타 의견을 분석하기 위해 오렌지3 소프트웨어를 사용하여 텍스트 마이닝(Text Mining)과 감성분석을 실시하였다. 설문 결과의 학교참여 현황 및 인식에 대한 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모의 약 78%가 2022년에 자녀의 학교 행사나 모임에 참여한 적이 있으며, 한 학기에 1회 이상 참여하는 경우도 약 65%로 나타나 과거에 비해 어느 정도 양적인 기반은 마련되었다고 볼 수 있으나 질적 강화방안이 함께 논의될 필요가 있다. 둘째, 학부모 학교 참여의 주 참석자는 자녀의 엄마라는 응답이 약 85%를 차지하여 여성이 자녀의 학교에 참석한다는 인식이 여전히 매우 높았다. 셋째, 학부모들은 학교 참여를 통해 자녀의 학교생활 적응, 자아존중감 향상 등 대체로 긍정적인 효과가 있을 것으로 인식하였다. 그러나 학교 참여에 참여하지 못하는 이유로 시간이 없다는 응답이 70% 이상 나타나 학부모에게 학교 참여를 위한 시간 확보가 필요해 보였다. 넷째, 조사 대상 학부모의 86.5%가 학부모 학교참여 휴가제 도입이 필요하다고 응답하였는데, 학부모 학교참여 휴가제의 필요성에 대한 인식을 직접적으로 보여주는 결과라고 할 수 있다. 또한 학부모 학교참여 휴가제에 대한 기타 의견의 텍스트 마이닝 분석 결과, 대체로 긍정적인 단어들의 빈도수가 높고 부정보다는 긍정의 감성이 나타나고 있어 학부모 학교참여 휴가제에 대해 긍정적으로 인식한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the current status of parents' participation in school and their perception of the School Activities Leave system for the introduction of the parent School Activities Leave system. The survey was conducted with 12,000 parents of kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools in Gyeonggi-do. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS Statistics 28.0 program, which included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and cross-tabulations. Additionally, text mining and emotional analysis were conducted using Orange 3 software to analyze further opinions on the parent School Activities Leave system. The survey results regarding the current status and perception of school participation are as follows. Firstly, approximately 78% of parents participated in their children's school events or meetings last year, with about 65% participating more than once a semester. This suggests a quantitative foundation for participation, but qualitative improvements are needed. Secondly, around 85% of respondents identified mothers as the main participants in parents' school involvement, reflecting a persistently high perception of women's attendance at their children's schools. Thirdly, parents recognized that participation in school would generally have positive effects, such as children's adaptation to school life and improvement of self-esteem. Nevertheless, over 70% of respondents cited lack of time as a barrier to participation, highlighting the ongoing need for time management solutions. Lastly, 86.5% of surveyed parents expressed a need for the introduction of a parental School Activities Leave system, underscoring a direct demand for such a system. Text mining analysis of additional opinions on the parent School Activities Leave system revealed a predominantly positive perception, as evidenced by the prevalence of positive words and emotions in comparison to negative ones.
