국문 초록

교육공동체 형성을 위해 각 주체가 서로를 어떻게 바라보고 있는지를 이해하는 것은 필수적이다. 이 연구는 초등학교 교사의 입장에서 학부모의 교육 참여를 어떻게 생각하는지 밝히고 그 이유를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모의 학교교육 참여에 대한 교사의 시선은 어떠한가? 둘째, 학부모의 교육 참여를 바라보는 시선에 영향을 준 이유는 무엇인가? 학부모 참여에 대해 교사가 어떻게 생각하는지 알기 위해 2018년 4월부터 12월까지 10명의 초등교사와 심층면담으로 자료를 수집했다. 수집한 연구 자료는 포괄적 분석절차를 통해 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출했다. 학부모의 교육 참여에 대한 교사의 시선은 학교교 육의 주체가 아닌 학부모, 발휘되지 않는 학부모 참여의 권한, 학부모의 학교 참여에 대한 교사의 기피가 있다. 이러한 시선을 가지게 된 이유는 학교의 전문적인 조직문 화, 대학 교육과정 및 연수의 기회 부족, 학부모 위원의 자발성, 대표성, 전문성의 부재와 부정적인 경험이 영향을 준 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

It is essential to understand how respective principals look at each other in the formation of educational communities. This study is intended to investigate how elementary school teachers think about parents’ participation in education and to clarify the reasons. To this end, specific study problems were established as follows: first, what are teachers’ perspectives on parent’s participation in school education?; second, what does cause the teachers to have such perspectives on parent’s participation in school education? To examine how elementary school teachers think about parents’ participation in education, the author collected data through in-depth interviews with 10 elementary teachers to see how teachers think about parents’ participation. As a result of the analysis of the data, teacher’s perspectives on parents participation in education include the parents who are not the principals of school education, unexercised parents’ right to participate, and teachers avoidance of parents’ participation in school. It was found that these perspectives were influenced by schools’ professional organizational culture; the lack of university curriculum and training opportunities, the absence of parent’s spontaneity, representation and professionalism; negative experiences of parents members; and negative experiences.
