국문 초록

본 연구는 무용이 국어교육에 있어 창의성과 통찰력, 생동감을 이끌어 내는 상보적 ‘학’이라는 점을 전제에 두고 통섭에 관한 전망을 탐색하였다. 연구 방법으로는 체험주의(experientialism) 관점에서 Johnson의 ‘신체화된 의미이론’을 이론적 지표로 삼았으며 무용과 국어의 학제간 통섭은 Wilson의 ‘consilience’개념을 선택, 상호 영향적인 관점에서 논의되었다. 첫째, 무용교육은 ‘몸을 통한사고’가 어떻게 가능한 가를 명확하게 보여준다. 이는 소위말해 신체화된 인지로서 국어 교육에 있어 학습 자가 본능적이고 생동감 있는 언어를 구사하게 해준다. 둘째, 무용교육에 있어 의미의 능력은 신체를 통한 인지적 환기이다. 신체화된 은유적 공간과 장소는 국어 교육에 필요한 추상적인 개념과 창발적 사고의 기초를 제공한다. 셋째는 ‘사고의 리듬’이 다. 무용은 문자적이지 않음에도 불구하고 언어를 반영한다. 이는 국어 교육의 일환인 쓰기와 읽기에 필요한 연상의 흐름을 직관적으로 포착하게 한다. 넷째, 무용과 국어교육의 통섭은 ‘신체화된 은유’, ‘신체화된 의미’, ‘신체화된 경험’을 중심으로 약술해 볼 수 있으며 두 학문간의 통섭은 진정한 체험적 글쓰기와 반성적 글쓰기, 창의적인 글쓰기를 가능하게 한다.

영문 초록

This study explored the prospect of consilience on the premise that dance is a complementary discipline drawing creativity, intuition and vitality from Korean language education. It selected Johnson embodied semantics viewed from experientialism as its theoretical indicator and discussed the disciplinary integration between dance and Korean language, by selecting E. Wilson s consilience , from the interactive perspective. First, dance education clearly shows how thought through body can be achieved, which is so-called embodied cognition and encourages learners to speak natural and vial words, in the Korean language education. Second, the meaning in dance education has an ability of cognitive evocation through body. Embodied metaphorical spaces and places provide a foundation for abstract concepts and emergent thought necessary for Korean language education. Third, dance reflects language, though it has no literal characteristics, according to the rhythm of thought . Dance, therefore, intuitively captures the stream of association necessary for reading and writing, both of which are parts of Korean language education. Fourth, the consilience between dance and Korean language education can be outlined around embodied metaphor , embodied meaning and embodied experience : the consilience between two disciplines allows authentic experiential, reflective and creative writing.
